The next day came, and Dion and Jillian finally had their wedding which was very lavish. Plus, there was a lot of royalty attending the wedding. Jillian was prepared in a special room with servants dressing her up. They prepared a very beautiful and luxurious white dress for Jillian to wear.
'This is... Me? I'm getting married. Something I had hoped for... But not with someone I want.'
While combing the white hair mixed with purplish at the ends, Jillian looked at herself in the mirror. She looked at herself who was about to get married and become someone's wife. Marriage was something she had dreamed of since childhood, especially if it was with a prince.
It was indeed happening, she was going to marry a prince soon, but a prince from an enemy kingdom. A marriage that was like a treaty so that no rebellion and chaos would occur between the kingdoms of Keintheart and Gracelya.
"Princess, allow me..." A servant was about to take off the necklace Jillian was wearing, before Jillian quickly brushed off the servant's hand.
"Stop it, I won't take off my necklace," she said firmly.
"B-but Princess, you can wear another necklace,"
"It is tradition in the Gracelya Kingdom to wear their ancestral necklaces for generations. Only their husbands can remove it," explained one of the servants who had acquaintances from the Gracelya Kingdom.
"But if you don't take it off, what about..."
"I told you I wouldn't take it off!" replied Jillian again and turned to the servant. "Do you mean for me to break the traditions of my own place?" she continued to ask in a cold tone.
"N-no princess. I'm so sorrry." The servant turned to the butler who left Jillian's necklace on.
At the same time, Prince Dion was also being helped into his wedding attire which looked very luxurious. While waiting for his wedding ceremony to begin, he chatted with his twin brother, Prince Theodore about his wedding today.
"I don't know, Theo. Do you think things will go smoothly?"
"Of course, I've mobilized my troops for today and everything is well prepared. Do it right, you don't want to make Father angry, do you?" asked Theodore.
Dion shook his head slowly. He had had enough of seeing his father angry. "I know that. Huftt... Are you going to replace me?"
"Seriously?? That's not going to happen. Besides, Princess Lian isn't as bad as you think, she's a nice lady..." Theodore explained to his twin brother.
"To you she is, to me she isn't... Wait, since when did you call her Lian?" asked Dion in surprise.
"She told me to call her that herself."
Dion was silent for a moment, he as her future husband had no idea that his future wife was called Lian, but Theodore was told. How unfair!
"You'll see, I'll definitely--" Dion muttered irritably. Theodore, who was listening, could only shake his head slowly at his brother's behavior.
"You'd better get ready, your wedding will start soon," he said as he patted Dion's shoulder. Before leaving, he took out an envelope from under his robe.
Dion received the letter and looked it over. "Who is it from? Why is there no sender's name?"
"I don't know either, it might be in the letter. You open it, I'm going out first. If so, you come out quickly too. They're waiting for you."
Dion nodded in understanding. Theodore left the room first to organize his troops who were standing guard around the royal area. He was appointed as the leader of the knights by his father.
Curious as to who had sent the letter, Dion immediately opened the letter and read it. His eyes seemed so focused on the contents of the letter. His brows furrowed slowly when the sender began to question something that only the two of them knew.
"Greetings... Abelia. ABELIA?! So she's right... But..."
Knock knock
Dion's focus was finally distracted by a knock on the door of the room he was currently in. "Y-yes?!" he gasped as he folded the paper frantically.
"It is time for you to come to the altar, Crown Prince. Your wedding is about to begin," said the servant who knocked on the door.
"Y-yes... Yes... Ekhem. Yes, I'll be right there. You can go," Dion replied and straightened his clothes.
As a final touch, Dion fixed his hair in the mirror and then walked out of his room. When Dion arrived at the altar to wait for Jillian to arrive, he wondered.
'What will that witch be like?' he thought to himself.
Before long, Jillian arrived wearing a white dress. Her face covered in a bride veil, she walked into the altar holding a bunch of flowers. Her eyes were closed for a moment, before finally opening and looking straight at Dion. Her lilac's eyes were beautiful and matched the dress she was wearing.
She looked elegant and charming, the nobles attending the party were amazed at Jillian's beauty, even Dion was fascinated to see her he did not expect that his rival would look so elegant wearing such a dress.
She slowly walked over to Dion and stood facing each other. Their hands were chained together to continue the holy ceremony in accordance with the tradition of the Keinheart Kingdom.
Although their appearance was perfectly matched and they looked like a couple sent by heaven to be together, even on their wedding day they were still trying to get back at each other.
"I give this drink to you, my husband. As a sign of my love, affection and respect for you," Jillian said aloud and give the wine they were holding towards Dion.
Dion drank it slowly, then said his sentence. "And I will give this drink to you, my wife. As the blood and sacrifice I will make to protect you and our family."
Fortunately, the ceremony went well, even to the point of mesmerizing the guests. The beautiful Crown Princess Jillian and the handsome and authoritative Crown Prince Dion.
The long wedding feast was finally over. All the guests returned to their respective kingdoms and it was time for Dion and Jillian to return to their rooms. Now that they have to sleep in the same room, all the belongings and clothes have been moved directly to the new room. Jillian replaced her dress with the nightgown that the servants had prepared for her.
'Why did they give me such a thin dress?!' she thought irritably.
Jillian slowly walked into her room and took off the thick robe that covered her. She saw Dion sitting on the small bed by the window holding a piece of paper that looked like a letter he got this morning. He looked out the window regardless of Jillian's presence.
'And yes... I ended up marrying that annoying monster.' she thought again as Jillian watched Dion.
However, her gaze momentarily changes when she sees her husband's blonde hair caught in the moonlight, making him look absolutely stunning. Plus the color of his fiery red eyes, adding to the image of extraordinary good looks in Jillian's eyes.
Dion glanced at her eyes for a moment, then looked back out the window. She quickly sobered herself up and tried not to fall in love with the man who was her husband.
'What else will he do after this?'
