A young girl, around ten with black hair and dull grey eyes, was kicking a stone as she dragged her feet back home. She tried to walk as slowly as possible to get home and face her dead drunk father and drug-addicted mother.
She wishes she could just run away, but she can go nowhere. Her parents' reputation ruined hers, way before she was born and no good parent would want their children to be friends with her, and the children in school made fun of her so she doesn't want to be their friend anyway.
This young girl was Hannah, back when she was still a child and her name was June Moore, named after the month she was born in.
She returned home to see a few strangers wearing the police uniform and arresting her parents. "What is going on?" she asked.
"They even have a kid," one of them said. "We should probably get her to the hospital to check out those bruises," he said talking about the bruises on her arms and legs.
