Hades was a genius, building a weapon that could destroy armour and pierce scales, Hades was revered by his brother...
As Hades reveled in the acclaim for his groundbreaking creation, he never anticipated that his own twin harbored jealousy and a desire for recognition. Fodroy, consumed by envy, hatched a sinister plan to steal Hades's identity and claim the credit for the ingenious invention.
One fateful night, while the moon cast an eerie glow over their workshop, Fodroy set his treacherous scheme into motion. With a cunning disguise and a devious plot, he attacked Hades, leaving him dead and assuming his identity.
Under the stolen guise of Hades, Fodroy presented the weapon to the kingdom's leaders, receiving the accolades and admiration that rightfully belonged to his twin. The kingdom celebrated the genius inventor, unaware of the deceit hidden behind the mask.
However, Fodroy's lack of intellect and understanding of Hades's intricate inventions soon became apparent. As he struggled to replicate his brother's brilliance, whispers of doubt began to circulate among the courtiers and scholars.
Fodroy's deception unraveled when faced with the scrutiny of those who had once praised him. The true genius of Hades could not be replicated, and the kingdom turned its eyes back to the rightful inventor.
Hades betrayed and injured, but still very much alive, revealed himself. The truth emerged, revealing Fodroy's envy and greed, staining the once-close bond between the brothers.
In the end, Fodroy's attempt to steal his brother's identity and genius crumbled under the weight of his own inadequacies. The kingdom, recognizing the genuine brilliance of Hades, cast out the imposter and restored honor to the true inventor.
The tale of Hades and Fodroy served as a cautionary fable, a reminder that true genius could not be stolen or replicated. The kingdom learned to value the authenticity of talent and innovation, and Hades, despite the scars of betrayal, continued to contribute his brilliance to the realm of invention.
Or so the story goes" called Hypnos, slamming the thin picture book shut.
"That's a great fairytale and all, sir, but I'm still a bit confused about why you asked for me?" Responded Lucas, who had been more focused on the green fire that warmed the library compared to Hypnos.
"Well Lucas, I thought it would be a good icebreaker," said Hypnos, nonchalantly, "you're here because there's something I want you to do for me."
Lucas perked up, intrigued by the prospect of a mission.
"I need you to journey to the Eastern continent," Hypnos continued, his tone taking on a more serious note. "Take one of the staff members with you, and seek out a woman named Nora. She possesses the rare gift of foreseeing the future."
Lucas nodded, absorbing the information. "And what do you need from Nora?" he asked, curious about the nature of this mysterious assignment.
"That, my dear Lucas, is something you will find out when you meet her," replied Hypnos with a cryptic smile. "Nora's visions are valuable, and I believe she may hold the key to unraveling certain mysteries. Bring back any information she shares with you. Consider it a test of your capabilities."
Lucas, a mix of excitement and trepidation, accepted the task. As he prepared to embark on this journey to the Eastern continent, he couldn't shake the feeling that his encounter with Nora might lead to something more profound than he could imagine.
