Trisha was headed towards her mother who was sleeping In the living room, when the door beside her room clicked open. Adriana walked out, her entire demeanor reeking of arrogance.
The next few seconds was a staring competition as the brewing hatred started to show itself.
"Move!", Adriana said, wanting some sort of confrontation.
Unlike what she thought she would get, Trisha walked away completely, wondering if everything Elle had told her was the truth.
'Doesnt she feel the slightest bit of remorse!', Trisha thought as she took a seat beside her mother.
Adriana walked out even furious, "it's just too frustrating, this bitch is too quiet!", She muttered as she got into her car.
As the chauffeur headed to a very private house, she started to touch up her makeup as she wanted so much to impress the celebrant in question.
~~
Wondering why she's so into the celebrant?
Well, Austin Meyers, a twenty seven year old bachelor, Actually, one of the most coveted bachelors in the country is most woman's dream.
A successful second generation heir who continued graciously in the line of his ancestors.
He was holding a get together for his twenty seventh birthday party, no media, less than fifty people and most especially, no uninvited guests.
~~~
Too bad, Collin actually thought she loved him genuinely!
Dressed to the nines, She walked into the private property unprepared for the shock she was about to go through.
Gobsmacked couldn't cover her expression as she walked into the property. Everything was screaming luxury, the type of luxury where common people didn't know the name of such brands.
She couldn't admire the view for long as she quickly caught sight of her friend who helped her with the invitation.
"Hi girl, how are you?!", Her friend Miranda asked as she wrapped her in a hug.
"I've been very well. Obviously!!! Is he here!?", Adriana asked back, a cause of laughter for Miranda as she didn't expect that Adriana would ask about Austin straight away.
"Why would he throw a birthday party then?", Miranda asked still laughing
"Miranda!", Someone shouted from the balcony.
"Coming. That's me babe, I have to get going. Two things; you can't take any pictures, and even if you do, you can't post them if it contains Austin. Also, don't talk to him. Alright??", Miranda asked to be clear.
Adriana wasn't even supposed to be there, so she didn't want to take any chances.
Adriana nodded before exchanging smiles with Miranda and walking away.
As she was admiring the flawless interior decor of the living room, she bumped into someone wearing a black hoodie.
Unfortunately, the person in question was holding a glass of liquor which poured on the front side of her dress.
"Are you so stupid to not look at where you're going?!", She asked in annoyance.
The people that stood nearby who had witnessed the scene gasped when they heard the rude question she asked and who it was directed to.
~~~
Paula stirred awake, her blood shot eyes accompanied by severe eyebags scanned the room till it got to Trisha who was busy typing away on her laptop.
"Baby?!", Paula called out, attracting Trisha's attention.
"I'm right here mom!", Trisha replied, dropping her laptop and hurrying to pour water for her mother who's throat seemed to be dry.
She walked towards her mother before passing the glass cup to her.
After several gulps, Paula asked, "Did he come home!?".
"I haven't seen him since yesterday! He…", Trisha didn't finish talking before the main door opened and Dave walked in.
"You have the guts to come back in here after what you did. You bastard!!", Paula said, more like yelled
Trisha looked back to see her mother who's lifeless eyes had come alive, channeling all the emotions she felt at the moment, and directing it at one person, Dave.
Literally, the tigress snapped!
However, Paula was bound to be cheated on, even if she didn't know, her second husband never really married her for love.
