Cecilia's POV
Someone should ask me why I would wake up by midnight in search of food.
I entered the kitchen and checked the cabinets but there was noticed there was no food.
I advanced to the fridge and opened it, I only saw carrot and leftover steamed beef.
"These people…" I grumbled sadly as I took them out.
They knew they had visitor at home yet they failed to go for shopping.
There was almost nothing in the house, no groceries to be precise.
As placed the beef in a flat plate and put it into the microwave as I turned it on. While I waited for it to be heated, I chewed the carrot hungrily.
"What are you doing here?" I heard a voice behind me which startled me.
I turned back and it was Elbert.
"I… I…" I trailed off.
"I was hearing sound from the kitchen. I thought it was a thief, I didn't know it was you." He said cryptically.
