With all the information that Henry had help me unveil, I had to keep going on with the investigation. It hurt me immensely, every time I tried to close my eyes. Every breathe I took had a rasp within it. Every step I took felt like ten steps backwards. I was in a puddle of tar and there was no escape. I had to help the others. That would be my only salvation.
I played back my conversation with Henry in my head. The person of interest was the gorgeous lady in black. Who could she have been? Was she the game master herself? Was she the game master's aid? I had no clue. All I knew was, the location in the screen would have been near the lair. It took her about an hour to reach Henry. She had to have been close enough to reach there so soon. If she really owned everything, why was she hiding her face? Henry said that when she entered the room, there was a weird silent aura surrounding them. Every one was looking down, as if afraid. He didn't know any better so he bent his face towards the floor, keeping his eyes intact towards the beauty that stood before him. She was definitely important. She made the rules and she could break them. She was the head. I assumed her fondness of Henry was going to come in handy. I was right.
For the first time, Henry left in the black sedan during the morning. It was at the exact time I used to walk towards class and I happened to see him leave. My heart was anxious, worrying about the news Henry was going to bring me next.
Henry returned after two days. I was worried sick about him. I assumed his venture to the secret cabin had been caught but I decided to stay strong and have faith in my friend. That night, Henry snuck into my room through my window.
"What the hell are you wearing Henry?" I asked him as I watched him enter my window. Standing in front of me was a strange fellow. He had Henry's face, his height, his features but he looked like Elvis Presley's long-lost brother.
"It is a suit. I know I look amazing. Let us not get distracted by my handsome outlook. You would not believe the nights I have had." Henry seemed more confident, happier even.
"Looks to me like you have had a fun night. All dresses up and happy, no worries in the world. If I didn't know any better, I would assume that the lady in the long black dress got to you. it sure looks like the date went well." I was mad at him. Through all that I was going through and all that we had lost, how could he even dare to have a smile on his face. What about Anna? Was his love just a temporary tool for sympathy? I was furious.
"You have it all wrong buddy. On the contrary, the lady in the black turned out to be an acquaintance. Like I said, you wouldn't believe the day I have had. When I reached the lair, she was waiting for me eagerly. I was anxious and afraid. She kept staring at me, frankly it made everyone else uncomfortable. I realized; I had never heard her voice. She always talked in sign language, pointing at the things she wanted or hated. Her expressions were hidden under a mask. Her hair was veiled by a hood. The black dress she wore complimented her body beautifully. It wasn't the same one. It had crystals on its rim, black emeralds on the neckline and the slit was deeper, exposing her thigh more than last time. She pointed at me again. Every one else left the room. The next thing I knew, she was grabbing my hand. She took a hold of it. There was calmness in it, yet a sense of urgency surrounded her. She took me outside. This time, I was seated into a white limo. The compartment between the driver and us was divided by a window. We were completely alone. My blood pressure was at its peak. All of a sudden, she hugged me. I tried to get her off me but she just wouldn't let go. I finally asked her who she was. I asked her why she kept choosing me. When she unmasked herself, I was surprised by the revelation. My sweet Anna. It explained my attraction towards her. It explained her attraction towards me. As I returned a hug, I wondered why she was on the game master's side. After a lot of hesitation, I finally asked her. She told me that she was the first one to be taken. How ever, when she arrived, the game master took a liking to her. He wouldn't allow his pawns to touch me. He decided to bend the rules for me. She told me how she watched them take Leslie. She tried to stop him but he never listened. He gave her the position of choosing the ideal women. He gave her the power to decide who got to live if they weren't ideal. The older women were killed either way. She told me that she saved every young girl she could. She told me there was another woman like her. She wasn't as generous, however. She liked to watch them suffer. She liked to see them cry, just because she was blind to their beauty. Anna told me that she was afraid of the other woman. She told me that when she was leaving the other place, she glanced at the camera footage of the secret cabin and she saw me. She immediately deleted the footage and ran to see me. The rest is history. I spent the last two days with the love of my life. How beautiful of a woman she has turned into. I salute her bravery. She saved lives. She isn't aware of what happens once they pass the beauty clinic. The game master doesn't allow her to go anywhere. She isn't able to see where she is being taken because of the black windows of her limo. All she knows is that this is how she has to survive. To be honest Neil, I thought of running away with her. The possibility of still having a future out of this institute's chaos is my dream. I just couldn't leave without saving them all. Now that we have the lady in black, we are closer to finding them than we will ever be."
My eyes were wide open after what I had just heard. While I was really happy for Henry, I felt jealous that he was able to reunite with someone he had lost. All I had seen so far was the people I had killed and the ones that were still missing in action. I envied his love. I envied the fact that he got to express it, even if it had to be in secret. I wondered if I would ever see my Daisy. If I would ever get to hold her. If I would ever hear Sammy's sarcasm, or eat Jane's food, or wipe the tears of my little drama queen Emilia. I missed them all immensely. I knew for certain, Henry's lady in black was going to help me unravel this mystery.
