- Ann's POV -
' Oh, he's handsome.. seeing the girl by his side, I know I won't have a chance, but I can still try, right ? '
That was her first thought when she saw the young man that appeared after an old adventurer just took out his quests before heading out as if in a hurry.
Of course, she quickly realized as they approached that the man must've been a noble playing the role of an adventurer, and while it wasn't exactly rare, it wasn't a common thing either, but in her mind, she was thinking that the maid should've at least changed her clothes if he wanted to pretend.
" Welcome to the adventurer's guild sir, how can we help you ? "
By bringing up her best smile, she even went a mile away by changing the tone of her voice to try to please him a bit more, but as if he didn't care about such a thing, he brought her a difficult topic for her.
" I want to get this lady registered, would that be possible ? "
Asking such a question, her immediate answer would've have been a no, but she couldn't just refuse a noble like that, and thinking that she might offense him, she felt a cold sweat on her back as she tried to explain the circumstances of the guild.
But the man, no matter how handsome he was, kept asking questions as if he really wanted it to happen, and while she would have accepted to be his plaything if that meant that she would live a bit easier while enjoying a good time, she couldn't just change the guild's rules with her opinion alone.
" Religion ? That's not it... "
And from this point onwards, everything took a turn, no, to be precise, it went too fast for her to even try to understand what happened.
The man, summoning a spell out of nowhere, wasn't just a simple noble, but he was also a mage as well, using the kind of spells she had never seen somewhere else, and from that said spell that seemed to aim at her, he used his hand to retrieve an object from it.
' Wh-what ?! '
Her surprise, that she couldn't express because of her stiffened body from the fear of being attacked without the possibility to retaliate, however, quickly transformed into shock.
Watching the man slash the palm of his hand by using some sort of white fang as large as a dagger, if not more, with bewilderement, his next order placed confusion in her mind.
" Stella, heal it. "
What did he meant by heal ?
Would the girl take out bandages and herbs to use ? Would she apply the most basic and primary skills to heal an injury here ?
Yet, what was the point in doing that ? Did he want to put the blame on her for his injury and end her life ?
With only fear rising from her heart that felt like it was sinking to her stomach, she bit her lip, watching the scene that followed with her own two eyes, and an even greater shock was traversed the body of the poor Ann.
' Artefacts.. ? '
Feeling a thread of hope that brought her out from the abyss she was in just a moment ago, she wished for her to be able to treat him properly.
Ignoring that her state and her expressions would be the cause of worry if one was glancing at her by inadvertance, the focus of the whole floor was directed to the man and the rabbit girl next to him, waiting.
The vivid scene unfurling in front of her eyes, she then assisted as something more magical than magic itself, with a dim light spreading from the body of the priest, to her staff, and finally the injury on the hand of the handsome man, it started healing.
Nothing like the slow natural healing process, but as if time itself was being wrapped around and rewinded, the open cut showing a red flesh stopped bleeding, and that said flesh started to connect with the other half it's been separated from, a grotesque yet miraculous spectacle.
" I'm done Arthur.. Please, don't scare me like that again. "
The woman's voice, which she just heard now as it was her first time talking, took her out of her stupor, and realizing what she just saw, she knew it was something that she couldn't handle.
" That's what I meant by a priest.. "
Hearing the man's voice, she could only swear mentally.
' .. What kind of priest is that... ?! Aren't priest just supposed to pray and believe that god will help them inside the church ?.. '
She wasn't a believer herself, but she knew that priest weren't supposed to heal people as if using magic, it was just common sense, so where did that girl actually came from ?
Thinking about a special ability holder, then wasn't it weird that the man didn't specify it ? Were there really a part of the world, hidden to all ?
Climbing the stairs, she could already feel a headache as the current situation led her to knock at the door of the busy guild master.
" Who's here ? "
A deep voice, coming from inside the room that was locked, somehow brought her a sense of peace as she thought that she could just leave all of her sudden problems to him.
" Guild master, it's Ann. "
" What's the matter ? "
" There is a noble down there, he said that he wanted a lady with unique healing power to get registered, but there's no instructors and I-.. "
" Alright, I've heard enough, I'm coming downstairs. "
Being cut off in the middle of her sentence, she wasn't upset about it in the slightest, and in fact, she was even relieved to have the most important person of the guild handle that matter himself.
Though she didn't guess that she would quickly see something more incredible in a few moments.

- Arthur's POV -
' So that's the guild master here huh, I certainly didn't expect that. '
Most humans cities would only have humans and beastkins as residents, as they were the most populated races, but also the two that get with each other the most.
Elves, in every fantasy settings, were known as a race that prefered peace and delicacy over anything else, living in forests and such, so he guessed that he wouldn't see one in a city often, or at least, not a dungeon city.
Dwarves, unlike the elves, were rough and liked loud festivities, and unlike the elves that avoided any contact with other races, they could be seen very rarely among other humans and beastkins.
Demons and the monster race were basically outcasts, races to be said unable to live with humans in peace, so of course, he still haven't found one yet, without even thinking about one from each race.
Lastly, angels and fairies, were either prideful beings or made themselves outcasts, avoiding any contact with the human civilization whatsoever with very few exceptions recorded in history, practically making them legends told to childrens.
And while the one in front of Arthur wasn't part of a legend or coming from an outcast race, looking at the small figure, he was still surprised to see a dwarf working as a guild master inside a human city.
" I already heard from that girl that the woman you brought could use some sort of healing magic, which one is it ? "
Since Stella had already recovered her usual appearance, with her armor and weapon unsummoned, he could see the guild master eyeing the two girls, to which he responded first with an action, by putting his hand on top of the priest's shoulder.
" That would be her. "
" Alright, then hurry up and order her to heal someone so I can see it, I still have a lot of works to attend to. "
Ignoring the rude comment of the dwarf as they were naturally that crude, they could even get angry if one were to ask for courtesy when the dwarf didn't feel like doing it, or if the person didn't deserve it.
" There's no one to heal, is there ? "
Asking him about it, Arthur didn't want to injure himself again, he wasn't a fan of the pain after all, and while he did it once to prove his point, that was as far as he was willing to go, especially when he felt the worries of the two women by his side.
" Well, let's change that then. "
In a swift movement, the dwarf took out a pocket knife from his back pocket and extended it, scratching the palm of his hand with ease and without showing a change of expression.
That scene was starting to get familiar for the adventurers around, who mainly followed what was happening with care as they didn't want to leave a single detail out, like watching some sort of drama.
' Well, men will be men.. '
And Arthur could only think that before he asked Stella to heal the small guild master.
