Chapter 3 - The Exorcism

=You are a ghost or demon who is about to be exorcised. How will you avoid this horrid fate?=

I am a demon, feared by humans and revered by my own kind. I have roamed the earth for centuries, causing chaos and destruction wherever I go. But now, my time has come. A group of priests and exorcists have gathered to banish me back to the depths of hell.

As I stand in the center of the room, surrounded by holy symbols and chanting voices, I can feel my power weakening. The humans think they have me cornered, but little do they know, I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

As the ritual intensifies, I close my eyes and focus my energy. I summon all the darkness and malevolence within me and channel it into one final act of defiance.

Suddenly, the room is filled with a blinding light and a deafening roar. The priests are thrown back, their holy symbols shattering into pieces. I open my eyes to see that I have transformed into my true form – a towering, winged demon with eyes that burn with hellfire.

The exorcists are taken aback, but they quickly regain their composure and continue their prayers and incantations. But I am not afraid. I have been through countless exorcisms before and I know how to outsmart the humans.

I let out a menacing laugh and begin to taunt them, using my powers of manipulation to plant seeds of doubt and fear in their minds. I make them question their faith and their beliefs, causing them to hesitate in their actions.

But just as I am about to break free from their grasp, I feel a sudden surge of pain. One of the priests has managed to land a blow on me with a blessed object. I let out a howl of agony and my wings start to disintegrate.

I know I cannot hold on for much longer, but I refuse to give up. I use my remaining strength to create a powerful illusion, making it seem like the exorcism has been successful and I have been banished back to hell.

The humans fall for my trickery and let their guard down. This is my chance. I quickly possess one of the priests and use his body as a vessel to escape. I make my way out of the building, leaving chaos and destruction in my wake.

As I fly away, I can hear the humans celebrating their victory, unaware that I am still among them. I know that I will have to lay low for a while, but I am a demon – I am patient and I will bide my time until I can rise again and reign terror on the world once more.
