Chapter 18 - 18) School Trespasser

1 WEEK LATER

Peter was sitting down at his desk taking notes in his notebook. The bell rang and his teacher dismissed the class. He quickly packed up his things and walked down the hallway.

People were bickering and discussing about Ben's death. It got spread across the entire school like wildfire. Peter could hear them whispering, but he didn't mind.

"Hey, Pete. You doing ok?" asked Harry, wrapping his arm around him.

"It's still hard, but I think I'm doing fine. I wish I could've done something, you know?" replied Peter. He was the reason Uncle Ben was there, so he felt somewhat responsible for his death.

"It wasn't your fault. Don't blame yourself and just become someone he can be proud of. That's all you can do now." Harry replied.

"Thanks, Harry," said Peter. He appreciated how Harry genuinely cared for him and was trying his best to make him feel better. He was grateful for a friend like him.

"I'm here for you, always alright" he replied smiling and hugging him. "Though it sucks you have P.E. next, I know you hate it."

"I don't mind it anymore" replied Peter.

"Really? Fair enough. Tryna get some muscles for Mary Jane?" teased Harry.

Peter blushed a little before retorting "Will you ever stop mentioning that".

"As your friend, you bet I'm going to use it against you. You should be used to it by now" retorted Harry while putting on an irritating smirk.

"You are such a dick" replied Peter before opening the door to the changing rooms "See ya later man"

"See ya. Have fun, or try to at least" replied Harry before continuing his walk through the hallway.

He placed his bags in the locker and started changing into the P.E. uniform, revealing his new muscular body.

"Wow, Peter. Since when did you start working out? you look good" said Thomas.

Thomas was a tall and muscular black guy, the captain of the school's football team. He usually hangs out with Flash, but he never really picked on anyone like he did and was pretty chill towards everyone.

"Not that long" replied Peter, quite shy.

"Keep it up" he encouraged Peter before heading to his locker to also change.

The lesson went on as normal, and he even played quite well today. Well, at least compared to the usual performance. Flash wasn't much of an ass today either, he wasn't such a psychopath as to bully the kid who just lost his grandfather and had a near-death experience.

When he returned to the locker room, he immediately started to get changed and whilst he was buttoning his shirt the alarms for an invacuation haunted the hallways.

At first, people thought it was a drill and didn't pay it much attention except being annoyed. Peter's sense began to tingle and he looked at the door for the changing room.

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL, EVERYONE GET INSIDE AND PREPARE FOR LOCKDOWN!!!" Screamed one of the teachers while running down the hallway and blowing his whistle.

"No way this is real. Right?" questioned a student.

Peter opened the door and slowly walked outside looking down the hallway, students were running down and yelling.

A man was walking down, with a student on the floor who looked like he was charred. He had long wavy blonde hair and wore a spandex suit. He had large metal gauntlets that went all the way up to his elbow, and his shoulders and lower legs were also guarded by the same metal. Black followed suit from his lower legs and gauntlets and stopped around the end of his arms and legs. The rest of his suit was a dark blue, including the metal mask that covered his mouth along with his eyes glowing blue. His suit also had gold lining around his chest, and a little on the rest of his legs. On his back, he had what looked like large batteries with wires connecting with his gauntlets.

Flash soon followed Peter into the corridor "It's probably just a practice run dork, there's no way we've got a school shooter." said Flash before looking also staring at the dressed-up man. His eyes began to glow much more intensely and he held out his hand, which was enveloped in small sparks of electricity. "FUCK" screamed Flash before dragging him and Peter back into the locker rooms.

"What happened Flash?" said Thomas worriedly.

"A guy is shooting fucking lightning out his hands" yelled Flash while guarding the door. "Do you have the key Thomas?".

"No, it's still with coach" he replied.

"FUCK, Everyone block the door with shit to make sure that fucker doesn't get in," Flash screamed while trying to move a bench in front of the door.

Everyone exchanged looks, confused and scared. It wasn't until Thomas started helping Flash that everyone else joined in on barricading the door.

The problem was what could Peter do. He couldn't expose his abilities with everyone here and there was no way he wouldn't get caught changing into his costume. Instead of thinking about what he couldn't do he joined in with everyone and started blocking the doorway, with things from weights and bags.

"I don't care who that cunt is, there's no way he's making it through that," said Flash among his panting, while wiping sweat from his forehead.

Sounds of screaming flowed through the halls, but eventually got quieter and quieter followed by a sound Peter couldn't quite put his finger on. It sounded like when you fry a piece of wire or something like that.

They were now trapped in the changing rooms, and everyone started to panic and argue.

The sounds of footsteps drew closer and louder, causing the inside of the room to fall silent. All you could hear were people silently begging for mercy and breathing.

"Is the back door open Thomas?" questioned Flash, while whispering. Thomas shook his head in response. "We need to get that door open. Once we do we run for it and call the police or something". Flash signaled that Thomas should do it, and he listened slowly and quietly walking the back door. Flash nodded his head and Thomas threw himself at the door, making a loud bang. It didn't open, but there was a small dent.

In response, the front door rumbled as a large dent protruded inwards toward the scared boys. BANG. Another large dent was made in the door and the room erupted in a panic to open the back door.

Thomas tried and tried again eventually forcing the door open, and everyone ran out without looking back. Flash was on his way out when he tripped and fell with a loud crash behind him. Peter looked behind him with his bag on his shoulder.

The front door was sent flying and the man was standing there and man strutted in before holding up his hand followed by sparks of blue electricity.
