Rosemary's POV:
"Do you use any of this stuff? Or is it just for show?" I ask as I fondle the little trinkets Salina has around her shop.
After many efforts and failed attempts, she'd finally managed to convince me to follow her back to her shop. I made sure to scribble a note for Izzy in case she woke up and came looking for me.
"It's mostly for sale. I'd never bring anything I actually use in my practice for innocent people to mess with. Magic is no joke," she says blankly.
"Not even the herbs?"
The odors in this place are still as pungent as I remember them from my last visit. Although the atmosphere is quite different. That difference might be in the lights. She's turned on ordinary lamps, not the performative ones.
These have no cozy glow, no colors nor do they cast peculiar patterns over the walls and the merchandise. This place sure lacks that mystical ambiance without them. Truly incredible how one element alone can change everything.
