Chapter 61 - Newfound ease

Rosemary's POV:

I make my way home from work, groceries in hand. My eyes descend from the darkening sky to land on the sight of people around me. Some walk with purpose and clear destinations in mind, while others are just strolling. I am doing a bit of both.

I have a destination in mind, but I am in no rush. In fact, it's the total opposite, I feel at complete ease, as though finally able to enjoy a walk around town. I, somehow, finally managed to shed that strange sensation of being watched. The pair of eyes I'd felt on my back are gone. Although, something tells me Salina is to thank for that. It's been a week since I've last seen her. I don't know what she did, but she definitely did something. I am just grateful I no longer have to carry that invisible weight on my shoulders.
