Chapter 15 - The Council Of Magi

And a day after the mental exam, the diamond class was visited by the headmaster.

*knock*

Someone knocked at the diamond class's door and as it was noon everyone was there, but Lucas was the first one to open it.

And when he opened it the headmaster was there.

"Oh! Headmaster, You must be here for the magic power test and magic class awakening for the diamond class."

"That's correct."

While Lucas was the one who greeted the headmaster all the other 9 students were behind him.

"So since everyone has already gathered here, everyone just has to stand still while I use this artifact to gauge your current strength."

"Sure!"

All of them said at the same time.

Then the headmaster took out a jade eye the was pulsating a green light.

------------------

10 minutes passed

"There, done so the results are."

Ray Grandfell- 573- high 6th circle

Bell Grandise- 439- Mid 6th circle

Gid Exfleur- 251- High 5th circle

Lucas- 239- High 5th circle

May- 221- High 5th circle

Ains Grant- 219- High 5th circle

Silvia Treaval- 217- High 5th circle

Deias Fraux- 214- High 5th circle

Daze Flobeau- 211- High 5th circle

Franz Danzel- 206- Mid 5th circle

"Now we will proceed to your magic class awakening."

The headmaster then snapped his fingers and instantly all of them were in a complete white room with 10 transparent crystal orbs.

"I want you to put your hands on top of one crystal orb."

"If the orb emanates fire you are a battle mage, if it turns bright green you are a healer, if it doesn't change you are a utility healer."

"And lastly if it turns into a dark void, you are a magic swordsman."

And then everyone picked a random crystal orb and as their palms touched the orbs some had results that they expected and others were baffled as to what they got.

"...that was nerve wracking!" Franz shouted as his orb emanated fire.

*sigh*

"I'm a utility mage? What did I even expect as a Commoner." Lucas's orb didn't change and it stayed as it was.

And finally when Ray saw the other's results he put his palm over his orb and Ray was ready to reveal to the world that he was a magic swordsman.

The wind around Ray gushed strongly and Ray was surrounded by a black like fog.

Everyone was bewildered they panicked thinking that something malfunctioned.

And as the fog started to dissipate the crystal orb of Ray could be clearly seen having a void-like Aura.

Everyone was in awe even the headmaster he was perplexed as it hasn't even been more than 20 years since there was another magic swordsman that being Ray's father.

"W-what a truly magnificent and spectacular sight!"

The headmaster rejoiced, his eyes filled with excitement, and after not even 30 seconds of Ray's hand being on top of the orb it suddenly exploded.

But thankfully the headmaster used barrier on time and prevented anyone from getting injured.

"Ray Grandfell...I thought before I was overestimating you, I was wrong I was instead underestimating you." The headmaster said with a bright smile.

Bell walked up towards Ray and said.

"I...actually thought I had a chance of catching up."

Ray looked at Bell and used his Heavenly eye.

His eyes emanated a bluish flame yet no one noticed.

Name: Bell Grandise

Age: 15

Rank: C

Blessings: Ice Empress, Pure Mana, Dual Element(Locked), Magic prodigy.

'Now that's very surprising, a dual elemental mage? I heard they were only less than ten thousand dual Elemental mages in Magilis.'

"Why are you comparing yourself to me? And don't worry you have a chance of outdoing me in a lot of ways..."

"Do you not actually remember??" Bell asked.

"Remember what?"

"Weren't you the one who told me to try to catch up with you??"

"I said that? But should we really be focusing on this??"

Then the headmaster suddenly appeared out of nowhere and patted Ray's shoulder and said.

"Ray Grandfell you need to come with me to the council of magi." The headmaster said while obviously holding back his excitement.

"What?!"

Everyone shouted including Ray as they were in disbelief.

The council of magi is made up of the most powerful mages across the land no matter the race and only consisting of 11 members including Ray's grandfather and Gardan Wisman or the headmaster.

"Y-You're inviting me to go to the council of magi?? Is this a joke?!" Ray was in complete disbelief, and barely got the words out of his mouth.

"No, fortunately it is not, you...are the only and first being that was born as a magic swordsman, have the sun element and endless mana, you are a great gift to humanity but this could also mean..."

"That this is a catalyst that the demons are also getting more powerful because-"

Ray cut off the headmaster and said.

"The universe will always try to bring equilibrium to itself." Ray said with a solemn tone knowing that a catastrophe is near them.

"We need to immediately discuss you're existence with the council of magi, I already contacted all the members."

Ray nodded agreeing to the headmaster, and then the headmaster put his hand on Ray's shoulder as he shouted.

"Teleport!!"

A bright blue ray descended from above and when it disappeared Ray and the headmaster were gone.

And The other students just watched, knowing that Ray will surely come back soon.

And as both the headmaster and Ray arrived to the council of magi's hideout, Ray looked around him as it seemed like he was in cave but the effect of teleportation made ray dizzy almost causing him to puke.

"Are you okay?" The headmaster asked worriedly.

"Yes, I'm fine."

Then both of them approached a black door covered with golden designs.

'I can feel an enormous amount of magic power just inside this huge door!'

Ray gulped as the overwhelming amount of magic power terrified even him."

And as the headmaster opened the door the magic power Ray felt mysteriously disappeared.

Ray saw 11 grand thrones that seemed to have been made from dragon bones.

'What??'

Ray was confused as to what suddenly happened, but that confusion instantly disappeared after he saw ten of the council members including his grandfather.

"We Welcome you, Ray Grandfell, The Chosen One." All of them said in unison

"Chosen One?" Ray asked perplexed.

"So you haven't explained it to him yet, Gardan?" A member of the council asked coldly.

"No, I simply hurried here, Klaus."

"Wait, I just noticed why are there only 10 members present?" Ray asked.

"What are you talking about? The other one is right beside you."

When Ray heard this he was bewildered he didn't even consider the headmaster to be a member.

"You were a member of the council!??"

"I thought you knew."

The headmaster said as he instantly went from beside Ray to the empty seat of the missing member.

'He's using teleportation like it's normal, It's supposed to drain the user's mana significantly.'

"So, my beloved grandson, do you know the reason as to why we brought you here?" Voln said with a cheerful voice as he hadn't seen Ray for a while.

'He still has that extremely weird personality towards me.'

"No, I'm not quite sure but I have an inkling that it's related to me being revealed as a magic swordsman."

"That's right but, That's just a half of the reason why we brought you here." a vampire who wore informal clothes said but had white hair which was quite rare as it showed a sign of very pure mana.

"Oh, so it was just a half of it, sir..."

"Rell Grimm."

"Oh."

'Wait what?? He's part of the royal family of the vampires??'

"Anyway Let's get straight to the point, you're existence could either be because there's a powerful being that was born in the demon realm or because you were born a powerful being now appeared in the demon realm."

"And due to that, we will personally train you, but you will still attend classes in the academy."

'That will drain my energy thought and also drain my will to live.'

"And you will also be given missions to eliminate potential threats, but you will be rewarded money after you finish each missions."

Ray carefully listened as they told him more about the current problems and the effect of him being a magic swordsman.
