Joshua observed the youth as they trekked through the dungeon.
He was skilled which shouldn't be a surprise as he was trained by the guild master herself who was a part of the elite 10, the strongest humans. The dungeon that looked like it was going to be hard for them seemed like a cakewalk to him.
Joshua was only a high 2-star worrier and considering this dungeon was an F-rank it was more than enough.
People with low talents usually aren't sought after and are only used in menial jobs. However, some are lucky and get to be the guilds "trash collectors" as others call them. Basically, they clear out the low-ranking dungeons which don't really have much in them.
However, Joshua's talent was 6 stars which is the main reason he was recruited into the White Lotus guild.
Due to his family circumstances, he was forced to go to a low-end academy where he barely got any resources. But with his recent improvement, he had no doubt he could improve at a rapid rate.
But looking at the youth who was almost on the same level as him he couldn't help but internally sigh.
'Not even resources can beat talent'

"Screeaa"
Looking at the goblin who let out a scream I couldn't help but curse.
"You aren't even a damn boss monster!"
Thanks to my gift I was able to figure out how many goblins there were and took my stance. Lightning crackled around me and I appeared in front of one goblin and then another. Like a streak of lightning, I zipped past all the goblins and slid to stop my momentum.
Looking back I saw many of the goblins that I killed with giant holes in their body. I couldn't help but marvel at my technique.
Medici's Thunderdance wasn't famous because of its devastating attack but rather the speed those devastating attacks were delivered.
"Grrrrr…"
Hearing that I turned to see a giant wolf pounce toward me. I quickly ducked dodging the attack and took 2 steps back while activating my weapon skill. When the wolf turned all it saw was my blade before its head was split into 2.
Once I confirmed my kill I looked at the wolf. It was pretty different from the beasts I faced in that augmented reality room.
While its fur was black it had different patterns on it that resembled strips which made me think of a tiger.
"Jackles," Alex commented "They can be found in most dungeons but are pretty cunning most of the time so watch your back,"
"Thanks for the info,"
I then remembered the monsters that were in this dungeon.
There were goblins and a goblin lord who was the boss. Then there are the jackles which the goblin lord rides. This was one of the few dungeons that didn't have many monsters and could've been used as a training ground. However, apparently, they needed some of the land to build a power plant that could help in the war so it had to be cleared.
There were 2 reasons why guilds kept dungeons. Training and resources.
A dungeon can stay in the world forever however, there is something called a "dungeon break" where essentially the dungeon overloads with mana and creates a gate source releasing all the monsters that were stuck in the dungeon zone.
Dungeon zones are things that keep monsters at bay and are also the reason why people can't explore the abyss. But if the dungeon gate closes before the person could escape then they'd be stuck in the realm of the abyss waiting for their death. They attract monsters if most of them expect the boss monster to be killed.
I kept walking until I came across a weird sight. Thanks to my gift I was able to see a few meters in front of me.
"Um hey Joshua quick question," I tried to sound non-cholent but I could tell some confusion trickled in.
"Go ahead,"
"You've cleared this dungeon before yea?" he nodded
"Yes, I have,"
"So have you seen the goblins ride the jackals?"
"Yeah some patrol the area," then a look of realization appeared on his face "Wait you see some of them?"
"Yeah,"
I tried to recall the report which included that the jackal-riding goblins would come only when the boss monster called for them meaning they hadn't found them yet.
"Well looks like we've entered the patrol area," I said.
Lightning started to crackle around me before I vanished from my spot.

*Sniff*
*Sniff*
"Grrr" the goblin rode the jackal once hearing it growl the goblin turned towards its leader.
"Scurara,"
"Garara,"
Giving a reply the leader was about to turn before its head was blown into pieces.
*Thump*
The leader's corpse fell on the ground and the jackal also slumped to the floor. Standing over them was a youth with black hair and cold grey eyes.

After killing one of the goblins I lunged for another and grabbed it before I threw it toward another while simultaneously stabbing the jackel in the head. Hitting the other goblin both of them stumbled and seeing the opportunity I charged toward them.
Suddenly another jackal charged toward me with a goblin riding it. I quickly decapitated the jackal, however, the goblin's dagger still stabbed into my wrist.
"Argh!"
Kicking the goblin away I pulled out the dagger before I threw it at the goblin piercing its head. Looking at my hand which had a giant gaping hole in it I then looked at the one jackal and 2 other goblins.
They were grinning as if they had one but their faces sank when golden lightning surrounded my hand. As sparks flowed over my hand it quickly regenerated causing their face to scrunch up.
This was something I had only accomplished yesterday. Considering I didn't even have a grasp on reverse flow yet I had to settle on using prosperity. But I couldn't use it openly as it would cause quite the racket.
So I decided to use it the other way by infusing the skill with my lightning.
Attributed lightning or fire isn't that rare. In fact, it was pretty common to see mages use fire that froze things down to the last atom.
But what was rare was the healing attribute which was the light attribute.
However, what I was doing was way different from the golden lightning that is used. But people would just assume I had more talent with it.
Once it healed I quickly killed the jackal before killing the other 2 goblins.
Opening my map I saw that I was on a path that already had been explored. However, it seems that the people were too slow or I just got lucky. But I also noticed I was close to the boss.
"Let's just get this over with quickly,"
