He felt a sharp tug of Tetsu's fear. She was about to emerge from his body and stand between him and the danger—like always.
In this split second, time seemed to slow down for Shin. Realizations that would normally require thinking came to him in an instant.
First, what Tetsu was doing was selfless, brave, and pointless. It was a truck—even if she punched it with all her strength, it wouldn't be enough to fully stop its movement. It was simply too heavy.
