Shin was still apprehensive about this idea when he watched Tetsu mix up gas and brake pedals when they were taking off. But she quickly fixed her mishap, before slowly and carefully driving out of the gas station's parking lot.
Tetsu was hiding her emotions from their soul connection, but her entire body was rigid with tension. She was biting her lip and clutching the steering wheel hard enough to leave dents, but she didn't crash into anything so far.
Shin had to admit that he was wrong about Tetsu. With her volatile temper and frivolous attitude, it was easy to forget that she was also smart.
Smart enough to learn how to drive a car in a few days just by observing Shin's actions.
"I shouldn't have doubted you, Tetsu," Shin said, relaxing in his seat. "Wake me up when we will be approaching Kyoto. I want to do something before we enter the city."
