When her eyes snapped open, dawn was yet to arrive but feeling sleepless, she removed her legs beneath the blankets and sat on the edge of the bed with her feet dangling in the air.
The candles had gone off for hours and she could only rely on her eyes to see through the darkness that hovered over the whole room. It took her minutes before she placed her feet on the cold floor and stepped out of the room.
Taking slow strolls in the dark cave, she tried to see through the dark wall, if there would be something that would be hidden in those small cracks but there was nothing. Now that she thought about it, her mind reminded her that she had not eaten anything since she arrived here and that thout was enough to make her stomach growl.
