Charrisa from across him trembled, her eyes wide with fear. "Yes-yes, I won't come near her," she stammered, her voice barely audible.
With a snarl, Alex stormed out of the office, slamming the door behind him. The hallway was dark and silent, and he stumbled forward, nearly tripping over his own feet.
