" I don't think how you're dressed is a problem." Lycan said.
" I think it's a problem, if you didn't think it was a problem why did you stop the car then?."
He gave a small smile and he started the car again and drove to his house.
It was bigger than the first time I was here, or at least it looked bigger.
There was a big gate that stood protectively, a security checkpoint and you'd have to drive about a mile before you reach the house.
The house itself screamed wealth at you everywhere you turned to.
I was in a hurry that day and I didn't notice how beautiful his mansion was.
I climbed down from the car and I walked with him into his house.
"Lycan!." I heard and I looked to see a woman running towards him with her hands outstretched.
She gave him a tight hug and he wrapped his hands around her.
I gave a small smile.
She turned towards me with a big smile on her face but the smile vanished after she looked up and down my body and saw what I was wearing. With a confused stare she looked at Lycan.
"Who's this?." She asked Lycan.
"Mum this is Kaya." Lycan said walking closer to me and taking my hand.
"What is she doing here, in your house, isn't she supposed to be in a pub or something?."
" Mum, that's very insulting, I don't like it. This is Kaya that I told you about her. "
" It can't be. " She said going further back into the living room.
Lycan followed after her but I kept kept staring at the both of them. I could feel my heart beat becoming faster and faster.
Lycan's POV
I opened the door for Kaya to pass through and she mumbled a thank you in her cute light voice. She was adorable, it made me smile.
I kept my eyes on her but my mum's voice tore me out of my thoughts and placed me back to reality.
"Lycan!." My mum screamed excitedly.
I looked towards the living room and I saw her coming towards me with her hands stretched out for a hug. I hugged her back.
She tore out of the hug and she turned to look at Kaya.
"Who's this?." My mum asked me.
"Mum, this is Kaya." I said walking closer to Kaya and taking her hand. I looked at Kaya and saw that she was tense, I wanted to hold her face, stare into her eyes and tell her that she didn't need to worry about anything.
"What's she doing here in your house, isn't she supposed to be in a pub or something?."
I heard Kaya give a small gasp. My mum was being very dramatic, I never expected her to behave this way towards Kaya. I was starting to get angry already, I wouldn't take another insult from her and I don't want to react to her insult because she would actually hate me forever. Because this was Kaya that she was referring to.
"Mum, that's very insulting, I don't like it. This is Kaya, I told you about her. " I said trying to keep the anger out of my voice and warning my mother to watch the words she said.
" It can't be. " She said going further back into the living room. I looked at Kaya, she looked as if she was living a nightmare.
I followed behind my mother and I could hear her murmurings.
"Mum, please stop walking away, stop and let's talk about this."
"How would you bring a prostitute into your own home and mate with her, how?."
"Kaya is not a prostitute mum, she is not."
"Then why is she dressed like that?." My mum asked me.
"It's a long story and it's complicated."
"I would like to hear it, I have all the time in the world." My mum said with her hands crossed across her chest.
"Mum, I'm happy, can't you see that and be happy for me."
"I can't let you be with that woman, she's not the kind of woman I want for you."
" She's my mate. " I said trying to explain to her.
" That's because you mated with her. "

" Mum, you're wrong this time. " I said to her.
"I don't approve of her."

"I don't expect her to be like a werewolf." I told my mother and shock covered her whole face.

"I haven't told her, and mum I wouldn't ever tell her, I don't think I would."
"You can't keep a double life."
"Then I'm not going to keep a double life, I'm just going to remain human. It's for our sake, for the sake of me and Kaya. "
" You're making a very bad decision Lycan, you can't throw away your birthright. And for who, why would you even do that?. "
" Because Kaya is human and I don't ever want to show her the wild side of me or else, I fear that what happened the last time would repeat itself again. "
" I thought you were over this whole thing, I thought the past was the past." My mum said.
" I didn't fear the past repeating itself till I held Kaya in my arms last night. "
A tear escaped her eyes and she turned away and she started to walk out of the living room.
" Mum... " I said calling back but she wouldn't listen, she left.
