Chapter 29 - Take Me to the Dungeon!

The next day, the nausea starts to get unreasonable coupled with the cold weather, the feeling of Elaina has worsened as well. Although Elaina is getting used to the nausea she feels every day, morning sickness just feels bad for her and she does not like the experience. There are times that she only feels a bit of it in the morning but it won't last long or does not feel as bad as the others, but there are just bad timings and one of them is currently happening right now.

"Ugh...will I have trouble doing work for today?" Elaina is even struggling to rise from the bed due to the feeling of dizziness.

"Just rest up for today, Sis. Besides, it is raining and we don't know how long it will rain. Perhaps a whole day of rest will work?" Julia suggested.

"I will only feel weak if I keep on staying on the bed. Perhaps you can cook me some hot soup for the morning breakfast? You can use the vegetables that are stored in the box if necessary."

"Alright, Sis! Don't worry, I will make sure that the soup will be a good and filling one that will refresh whatever pain you are feeling!"

And without waiting for Elaina to respond, Julia headed straight to the kitchen to start her work. As for Elaina, she just closed her eyes again. She can also feel her body is changing. Although it is subtle, she can feel her stomach getting bigger. Since she is carrying twins, Elaina expects her stomach will soon grow much bigger than the usual pregnant woman's stomach. Elaina wanted to ensure that she could do all her work before she struggled to do any sort of work.

She is thinking about what would have happened if Alfred knew she was pregnant.

'Will he adore the babies? Or maybe he will ask me to abandon them as they are twins and they are not meant to be born?'

Elaina misses Alfred, even though he cheated on her. However, she doesn't want to go back to his side. Despite her love for him, what he did behind her back is something unforgivable and even if she loved him so much, that doesn't mean she will just accept the dastardly thing he has done. Especially to the fact that the one he was cheating on was none other than Elaina's sister, no less.

"If brother knows about this matter, he will not let Alfred lightly go. Perhaps he would also be angry with Selena as well if he knew it."

Still, Elaina can tell that her longing for her husband will take some time before she can get over it. For Elaina, someone like Alfred does not need to become part of the family if he can't even control his libido. Elaina will raise their children all by herself. She will be cutting the relationship she has with Alfred as soon as she gets over the feeling in a few more days. Her anger exceeds more than the love she feels for Alfred.

As she was thinking those thoughts, Elaina saw Julia coming while carrying a tray containing the soup she made. She put the tray on the nearby table first and helped Elaina to rise from the bed.

"Are you feeling okay now, Sis?" Julia asked.

"Still dizzy but a lot better than before. Thanks for asking."

"You should drink the soup and get strong," Julia then tried to spoonfed Elaina.

"Wait, wait. I can do that by myself, Julia. Let me do it."

"No, Sis. You should relax and let me do it. Don't do anything else aside from eating the soup. Just tell me if something is wrong, alright?"

Elaina couldn't say no and Julia happily fed Elaina. As always, Julia's cooking is good. It's just that, it is a bit hot for her to enjoy it properly.

...

...

...

Around lunchtime, the pain from the morning sickness has finally dissipated and Elaina can now properly move without getting dizzy again.

Instead of wearing her farmer clothes, Elaina decided to wear the clothes that she used to wear during combat. She even carries her sword with her, and of course, she wears the gloves that are used for taming. It felt like normal gloves and it fits right through her hands.

"Sis? Are you going to work in the rain?"

"Not this time, Julia. Also, start preparing. We are going somewhere, Wear something you are comfortable with that can allow you to move freely during any battles."

"Battle? Are we going to hunt something today?"

"Although it is similar to that, not really. We will be entering the dungeon nearby and find some fowl beasts."

"Eh? Dungeon crawling? Why all of a sudden?"

"You will see, just go and prepare for now. I will prepare some cover for us to use to act as a makeshift raincoat for now."

Although Julia is confused, she follows Elaina's orders and starts to prepare. As for Elaina, she managed to make a cover made of some sheets that will temporarily shield them from getting wet from the rain. It is not that bad, but it isn't an ideal replacement for both umbrellas and raincoats.

With Julia finished preparing, Elaina and Julia headed to the dungeon. It was just a short walk since the dungeon was not that far from the farm. Although they had to run for a bit, it still didn't take them that long to arrive in the dungeon.

The dungeon looks like a cave. But it is indeed one due to the strange power flowing inside. Not only that but the Teleport Magic Portal is also present beside the dungeon entrance as well, showing that this place is still under the management of the guild.

"Let's get inside."

As the two head in, the layout of the place seems to have changed, signifying that they have entered a monster floor. Since the dungeon layout will change every time they enter, adventurers have to dispose of the maps that they have made when entering as they will become useless upon the next entry due to the difference in the layout once they enter once more.

"Sis, can you tell me what your current plan is? I don't understand why we would be here all of a sudden?"

"You will see. First, we should look for a fowl beast. A Hencluckle would do."

The two started to walk around the area in search of any monster nearby. Compared to most dungeons that Elaina has entered before, this dungeon is pretty much barren of monsters, showing that it is a very weak dungeon and only small monsters that are not that dangerous are around, so she is not worried. It took them a while before Julia soon spotted one of the monsters that Elaina wanted to see.

"There, Sis. A lone Hencluckle!" Julia then points to the monster that looks similar to a chicken currently scratching the ground.

It's a little big compared to the average chicken but they are not the only difference between the two. Compared to normal chickens, they are more round and only come in white. They do have crowns in their heads, but they are so small that they look similar to hens. And according to many, they are pretty annoying if provoked due to how dangerous they will be if they are attacked. Not only will they try to peck an adventurer to death, but they can even conjure small gusts with their wings from time to time to attack enemies. They might looks harmless, but they are not and they can definitely kill if they wanted to.

"Alright. Time to make these gloves do its work."
