Serena and Rhys exited the movie theater with slow steps. The cool night air enveloped them. As they walked, Serena could feel her heart beating with a rapid rhythm, as if it was trying to jump out of her chest. It felt strange walking side by side with Rhys like this. Serena stole a glance at Rhys, trying to look for signs of the same awkwardness on his face, but Rhys seemed calm, relaxed, as if walking with Serena was the most natural thing in the world.
