The siblings were catching up, but the conversation wasn't going as smoothly as before. There was a noticeable strain in the air, and the easy banter was missing.
"I can't believe it's been six months since we last saw each other," Dylan said, a hint of sadness in his voice.
Trisha smiled. "I know, right? So much has happened since then."
"And we haven't spoken in so long," Dylan added.
"Well, we're together now, aren't we?"
Dylan sat across from Trisha and Dashiell, and he couldn't help but notice their closeness. He eyed Dashiell curiously, wondering what kind of relationship the two had.
"So, how's the work going?" Dylan asked, glancing at Dashiell.
Dashiell smiled a polite smile. "It's going great. We're actually ahead of schedule thanks to the additional staff like Trisha."
Dylan turned to his sister, impressed. "Wow, you're really making a difference. I'm proud of you, sis."
