Trisha woke up early in the morning and got dressed. She had been unable to sleep, tossing and turning all night.
Her mind was filled with thoughts about her conversation with Dashiell yesterday. He had seemed concerned about her decision to move to the island.
As much as she appreciated his concern, she wasn't ready to discuss her plans with him. Not yet.
Trisha had a lot to think about. She needed time to process everything. She didn't want to rush into a decision, especially not after her recent breakup.
A soft knock on the door startled her.
"Come in," she called.
The door opened and Gwen stepped inside, a warm smile on her face. "Good morning, dear. How are you feeling today?"
"I'm fine," Trisha answered, not quite meeting her eyes.
Gwen took a seat beside her, studying her carefully. "You don't seem fine. Is something bothering you?"
Trisha sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "I just have a lot on my mind."
