It was basically having something like a personal body guard, as if that was not enough, the next words of the man left me incredulous.
"Currently, this golem is much more powerful than you. With power capable of rivaling a tier-3 wild beast. It can serve as a very great ally for you at the moment. It will do as you command without questions, with it at your beak and call, you can even face stronger opponents with its assistance."
I took a deep breath, overwhelmed by the capabilities of the golem that stood infront of me, unlike the golems I faced in the first trial which had faceless features, this one had eyes. Its eyes glowed with purple light matching my eyes.
It stood two meters tall, with wide arms and legs, muscular torso and powerful aura. It looked like an absolute beast.
Currently, I was at tier-2, low stage, at the cusp of breaking through mid stage. If I fought against this beast, I would probably lost.
After all, according to what the man said, this golem had the power to rival Tier-3 wild beast. I would definitely not be match for it.
But this speaks for its power and use. With such a powerful asset at my beck and call, I could face stronger opponents than me with its help.
Anyway, I wanted to see if what the man said was true.
"Mimick my actions!" I commanded in a firm tone. The man only showed a smile.
I threw a couple of punches in the air and a few kicks — all was repeated by the golem without a fail. I was pleasantly surprised.
Now that the authenticity was taken care of, I wanted to try another thing. I touched the golem and closed my eyes, I sent my consciousness into the ring and made the golem enter it.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the golem disappear with a simple silver light
Damn, first a separate space, second a powerful golem, the rewards were getting to generous!
"Ohhh right, your have the lightning element correct? I have a spell scroll here that contain a very destructive spell of the lightning element. It would suit you very much considering the attribute your element has." A light shot towards me and it slowly revealed itself to be a scroll.
It didn't look ordinary though.
"This spell scroll is something I happened to have...umm...found. Believe me though, it is something really great." The man showed a grin.
"Is that so?" I was skeptical to say the least but I could feel lightning element resonate with me from the scroll.
Spell scrolls are items imbued with the essence of a spells core. For example, their working, their function and how they perform.
Spell scrolls are one way to learn spells aside from making them yourself.
Yet another mysterious award. Just what was this man aiming at? Was this simply because I managed to pass all his trials or was there something else at play?
My eyes grew more cautious, "What is you want? I believe you aren't just giving all these away for free — at least, not this much. So? What is it?" I spat out.
Despite the rude question, I placed the spell scroll inside the separate space.
The man barred his fangs as his eyes shone, "There is something I want but it isn't anything bad. I just want you to find me a successor — a worthy one. So far, only you have been able to pass all my trials on this site, though you are the only one who was also able to even find their way here."
"The first to come, the first to succeed — at least in this site."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"First of all, I built many labyrinths around the continent of Gaiola, maybe around 3-4? Doesn't matter, but so far, I have not found a successor. Tragic right? There are other 2 people from the other labyrinths that managed to pass the trials, though like you, their affinities weren't compatible to me." He went through the explanation.
"I swear I should have just built a mechanism that didn't allow entry to those whose affinities were incompatible, auuurghh!" The man said in a frustrated manner.
"Anyway, simple right? I just want you to find me a successor and that's all. Also, I really dont want to let the items I made stack up in the inventory, I'd rather it spread across the world and shine." He threw his hands up in the air with a smile.
I was silent for a moment.
"Well, aren't you gonna tell what 'affinities' you are talking about?" I raised a brow.
The man's eyes lit up as if he just remembered.
I have only one word for this man — eccentric.
"Well, he should have the earth element, thats really all." The man shrugged.
"Ohh, also has a passion for creating artifacts." He added.
