I patter her head and said with a pained voice also, "Not yet, you know why. According to Galliop, you are very coveted by other mages, if others see you and news spreads, then people with malice intentions will come and hunt us down."
My face was solemn.
Galliop was the name of the man who had built the Labyrinth that I just came from and had gave me the rewards as well as the creators of the golem and this separate space.
Neph lowered her head.
Sighing, I assured her.
"Do not worry too much, once we are alone and in a place not highly populated, you can come out and be by my side again okay?" I showed a sweet smile. My heart was really warming up to Neph, it felt like she was a little sister of mine.
"Just that...right now. Being together is just too dangerous, not only for me but also for you."
Unexpectedly, she didn't throw a tantrum and instead nodded in understanding, she raised her head and looked at me with teary yet resolved eyes, "I will grow stronger and help you the best I can, master!"
Ohhh~ how she had grown, it felt just like yesterday that she could barely talk.
I patted her head warmly.
Anyway, now that that was taken care of. I set my sights on the motionless statue — Goliath, the name I bestowed it.
"Goliath, awaken!" I commanded. The golems purple eyes shone with light.
It straightened its back and looked at me.
"Show me what you got." I raised my hands and showed a provocative gesture.
My jaw dropped...
Goliath's purple eyes shone with a flash, he then started arching his arms - flexing his muscles and started doing posses that showcased his muscular body.
I could not hold my laughter at all. Even Neph seemed to find the situation hilarious.
Anyway, I tried to be more specific.
"Fight me, use only half of your capabilities." I ordered, I knew when a thing was something I could not handle, so I placed the limitation.
Goliath took a step forwards and burst forth, he raised his large fists to bring it down upon me. Goliath looked like a real giant at that moment despite only being two meters tall, his fist also looked much more overbearing.
My senses were sharp, much, much sharper than ever before, with a flash of thunder clap, my body disappeared leaving only a few sparks, I appeared behind Goliath and conjured up my trusted, lightning blade.
I slashed without showing any hesitations, Goliath should have the defenses of a third-tier wild beast, even if my attack landed, it shouldn't do anything that should leave it with severe effects.
Unexpectedly, Goliath didn't even flinch, my attack landed and even sent a few sparks of lightning currents throughout its body but not even a dent was left behind. I was incredulous.
That attack of mine was by no means weak, the force I used to swing the sword and the amount of lightning I discharged through the sword was enough to paralyze a peak-stage tier-1 beast to death.
Yet Goliath was left unscathed. Moreover, my lightning sword didn't even cut through its skin, it sounded with a large clang and a piercing sound of grinding metal against metal.
In that short moment of shock, Goliath swung his arms around. I almost got hit but I knew better, I kicked its back to gain enough foothold for a retreat.
This all happened in such a short moment that it felt surreal.
Once I landed, I raised both my hands and said, "I surrender, stop!"
I knew the face of defeat too well. Nothing I could do against Goliath would be effective. I would only be wasting my time.
Remind you, this was Goliath with only half his abilities in use, now imagine if I fought him with his full capabilities, he was trully a terrifying ally.
Anyway, even though I felt like I could last a long time with a fight against him, I would inevitably be defeated in the end.
Even though my physical qualities have been enhanced and is much more powerful than a mages body normally, I was still a little behind against wild beasts of the same level.
I was a mage in the end — with a slightly abnormally enhanced body compared to others my kind, but against a beast that have great physical qualities that I could not contest, it would be natural that I would be defeated.
Such a beast was Goliath.
I shook my head, I rested for a bit and then waved Neph who was absorbing the mana in the ore goodbye.

I opened my eyes in the room of the inn, just in time for the door knob to twist, with a click, the door opened.
My eyes widened as Gianna, the recipsionist woman of the inn, came inside, with her head down.
