Spells are just one way to manipulate your magic element to attack, defend, or even move.
The steps to making a spell was simple.
The first step was to imagine or visualize. Form in your mind what you wanted the image of your spell or how it would turn out.
The second step was to focus and control. To keep the image in your mind still and solid, a crucial step was to focus and gently control the image.
The third step was to manifest and will. This step will finalize what you're trying to create, the time for your spell to manifest and finally deliver your intent.
Simple but actually very difficult.
I breathed out, raised my finger, and pointed it at the deer.
With all my focus and might. I began visualizing a thunder arrow. I imagined the shaft to be long, thin but durable, with an arrowhead sharp enough to pierce through solid rock.
I then controlled the lightning particles inside my "Anchor" to form a shape. It was vague but one could see the outline of an arrow. It crackled and hissed, releasing a very sharp aura.
Final step.
Manifest!
The shape compressed and finally formed a perfect arrow made up of lightning. My eyes flashed purple as I quickly willed my thunder arrow to dart towards the deer.
Swoooosh~~~
It created a gust of wind just from its speed. The deer turned its head my way but the only thing reflected in its eyes was the tip of the thunder arrow before it got hit and died.
It struck the deer's body and went pretty deep. The deer fell on its four legs and died just like that.
I clutched my hands into a fist and put on a victorious smile.
Fck yeaahh!
I was pretty happy and proud of myself. Even though for the record, something as simple like a thunder arrow was considered a basic spell, it was still pretty impressive considering how it was my first time.
Anyway, after scouting the area, I quickly went to the deer. It had truly died. The deer was a tier-1 middle-stage wild beast, its meat must be quite delicious, I reckoned.
I looked at the river and drank its waters without hesitation, I was not only hungry I was thirsty also. Looking at my reflection, even though I just remembered my name, my other memories were still somewhere waiting to be awakened in my mind and I swore I would definitely uncover them.
Hah?
I looked at my temple and saw a small noticeable scar, it was an inch and a half but it was quite catching. It was a mark of something similar to his "Elemental Anchor". Some sort of lightning. However if one were to not pay attention to it, it would look nothing more than just a small wound scar.
I just shrugged it off and began dragging the deer back to the cave. Once that was done, I rested for a little while, it took quite a toll on my mind when I used that spell.
My "Elemental Anchor" which was active pretty much all the time was now showing a sign of dimming. It was because of the spell earlier, it cost me quite a lot of mana that I stored inside.
I went into a lotus position and proceeded to meditate. I tried to enter the state I was when I created my Elemental Anchor, and minutes later, I was able to access it.
It was still quite the experience, no matter if it was the second time, I could still not describe it. Describing it would only make the head hurt.
Anyway, I started to gather the mana around me and into my Elemental Anchor, slowly but surely, the dimming lightning slowly showed signs of brightening up.
I realized that this time, it wasn't as intense or as evident as the first time but it was still pretty amazing.
Anyway, after a few moments, my Elemental Anchor was back to normal, filled with mana and hissing with lightning and power.
Zkkrzzz.
I opened my eyes.
Looking at the dead wild beast in front of me, I thought of plans on how to cook it and came up with only one plausible idea.
My lightning!
I touched the deer's body with both my hands and planned to discharge lightning from my hands to cook it.
I breathed in and released!
Krzzzzkrzzz.
A few moments later, the deer was cooked.
I came out pretty exhausted with dripping sweat falling down my forehead, wiping it off, I gulped down my saliva finally thinking that I could eat.
After letting the meat rest, when it became not-so-hot anymore, I just quickly tore off a piece of meat and started eating.
Even though it didn't taste very good because of the lack of spices, it was still cooked so it was edible. Beggars can't be choosers they say.
Hah? When have I ever heard that saying?
I couldn't remember but it seemed that I just blurted that out subconsciously.
Anyway, I shook my head and just started to fill my stomach.
Woohh...
I let out a breath as I rubbed my stomach, already pretty full.
Then out of nowhere, something made my heart leap.
It was the sound of a growl.
