CHAPTER THREE
MY PITY LOVE
Aria's POV
"Lucas, I'm sorry," I blurted out.
I didn't do anything wrong but I just needed to apologize. I knew his pride wouldn't let him that was why I took it upon myself to apologize. I just wanted peace. It was the main reason for this marriage. My father, Alpha Jonathan Wolfe promoted peace and I needed to do so as well. I just hated being in a space with one and I can't even breathe properly.
He looked at me with tenderness, his eyes scanning all over my body.
"Come here," he said softly.
The sound of his voice was so melodic that it melted my heart. Like a dog who just heard his owner speak, I obeyed andwalked up to him where he sat on the chair without saying a word.
"Sit," he said, tapping his laps.
I was astonished. Did he say "Sit?" On his laps? Oh my moon goddess.
My cheek flustered red at the thought of. Why are you still thinking about it? Sit. Down. A voice in my head ordered.
"I'm sorry about earlier," he barely said, his hand caressing my body.
I liked it. Even my wolf did. She reacted to it even before I did.
Before I could say a word, he kissed me and pulled away. I mellowed, and kissed him back passionately, tilting my head to get the most comfortable position.
He lifted me, my legs apart tightening my grip. He let out a soft chuckle as he continued kissing me. Gradually, he laid me on the bed. He traced soft kisses from my forehead down below my stomach.
"Hmmm. Aria, You smell good," his husky voice came off.
Of course I did smell good. My scent was a blend of florals. As a female wolf-beta, I smelt of a musky aroma of wildness even though I wasn't that strong. Maybe I was strong, I just wasn't confident enough to explore my strength. My father always had the habit of hiding me in a far away cabin whenever a war starts. Anyway, beneath my musky aroma, there was a subtle undercurrent of freesia, a fragrant and delicate bloom.
He bored his brown eyes into mine and I realized how glowy it was. Just like a magnet, my green eyes started to glow too.
With every gentle touch of his, I fell in love deeply with him. Maybe it wasn't a bad peace treaty afterall. Maybe saying yes was the best thing. Maybe I was the moon goddess's favorite wolf.
Lucas wasn't a bad idea, I just hope he'd one day come to love me back as deeply as I have loved him.
"Kiss me more," he whispered, snapping me out of my thoughts.
There, he mated with me. We mated and I was marked. In Moonstone village, you only have two chances of being marked once you get mated. I didn't care about the second chance because I believed Lucas was my forever mate. I just hope things wouldn't change anyway, I thought.
***** ****** ******* ******* *******
Lucas's POV
From the first time I laid my eyes on her, I knew I had to do anything I could to lay her. Yes, lay her. Her green eyes was charming and alluring, same with her height and curvy body. It was exactly the way I loved it. Even her chestnut colored hair complimented her fair skin. It gave it a mild complexion look, like a melanin. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
But doe she think I'd stoop so low in having anything to do with my rival? She was just a daughter to my enemy, being a beta doesn't make her any better. My father would definitely be proud of me if I told him my plans but on a second thought, my mother would poison his mind. She had always been the sheep in the household of goats, how's that even possible? Well, I don't care because neither of them would know what my plans are. I have had a taste of her and now that I have had her, she would suffer.
I would make her regret ever saying yes to such arranged marriage. If she is hoping hoping for me to return my love, that would never happen. Never.
"Where are you going to?" Her voice came off, startling me.
"Wtf, Aria. Are you okay?! Do you have to sneak up on me like that?!" I yelled
"I'm sorry," she said, bowing her head.
"F*ck off," I cussed.
She stood there, obviously insisting on knowing where I was headed.
"Are you deaf?!" I sneered
"If you're going into the woods, Father has ordered that I should go with you," she simply said, ignoring my question. She began to feel uncomfortable and showed a little hurt although she did so well in trying to hide it from people watching but it wasn't possible to hide it from me.
"You're going nowhere with me!" I thundered
"It's an order, Lucas!" My father called out. I didn't realize he had been watching us from the fortress tower.
"Fine!" I yelled again
"Get in," I ordered
She turned to her lady, Scarlett and smiled weakly. It was a reassuring smile that conveyed "I'll be fine". Immediately, Scarlett let go of her hand and handed her already packed satchel bag.
She collected it and made her way to the carriage where I was seated. She put her head inside in attempt to enter.
"Where do you think you're going to?" I asked
"I want to sit with you, of course," she replied
"You must be sick to think that I would want you sitting side by side with me," I sneered
"What?" She asked. She was astonished and dumbfounded. I bet she wasn't expecting that. But really, did she really not read the room? I was not having it yet she wanted to try her luck. Stupid woman.
"Ride with the guards and servants in the other carriage," I ordered, turning my face away.
Gradually, she moved her head outside the carriage and stood there, staring at me.
"Are you leaving with me or not?" I spoke
"Lucas," she began. "You want me to ride with the omegas in another carriage?"
"Do I need to answer that?" I asked mockingly
She kept mute but instead she tried to enter forcefully. Hastily, I kicked her out with my legs and she fell on the floor, bruising her elbow.
She whimpered, her silver fur forcing itself out. Scarlett rushed her, helping her up while she tendered her apologies. Whatever.
"Go!" I commanded. Immediately, the coachman, Adams slapped his legs against the horses and they moved in a purposeful manner.
I turned back to look at her still on the floor, sobbing. A wicked smile tugged at my lips and I tsked.
On reaching the woods, I noticed another pack had sorrounded it. It was my favorite part of woods thus, I marked it my territory. Why would they trespass?
Just as I was about to enter deeply into the woods, I perceived a scent. As time clicked, it became stronger and before I knew it, he appeared before me.
