Shirley had solved the problem of Sebastian, now she just needed to go back to her house and meet Noah to hear his answer about her previous offer.
Actually, Shirley was quite concerned about this matter because she could not be sure whether Noah would accept her offer or not.
And now she had to meet Noah immediately so that they could continue the next stage of the plan she had thought of earlier.
Shirley was currently on a horse-drawn carriage heading to the lodger occupied by Noah. Shirley had not heard any bad news from that place so far, so she could only conclude that nothing bad had happened.
"What brings you here, Miss? Wouldn't Mr Count be more angry with you at this rate?" Ivy asked.
"How can I stay at home, I might get slapped again. I'd rather run away," replied Shirley shrugging her shoulders indifferently.
Ivy could only grimace when Shirley said that to her.
"Looks like we've arrived, Miss." Ivy prepared to get out of the carriage to help Shirley down.
Shirley also got out of the carriage, she couldn't wait to hear Noah's answer to her offer.
"Ivy, don't forget to bring the dessert I brought." Shirley walked inside alone.
With quick steps Shirley headed towards the direction where Noah's room was located. Before entering Shirley knocked on the door.
When she entered, she found Noah reading a book on the sofa in the room.
"How are you?" asked Shirley as she walked over to Noah and sat down opposite him.
"I thought you weren't coming," Noah replied as he looked up to stare at Shirley.
"Of course I had to come. You haven't given me an answer yet." Shirley called out to Ivy to bring him tea as well as the dessert she had brought.
Noah only smiled faintly and went back to reading the book he still had in his hand.
Shirley took a sip of the tea that had just been served to her and passed a piece of dessert to Noah.
"Eat it, I brought it for you from the capital," Shirley said as she ate her own dessert.
"You just got back from the capital?" No wonder he hasn't been seen in a few days, Noah thought.
"Yes, I had something to do there," Shirley replied, nodding her head.
"Are you making a scene again?" Noah was certain that Shirley must have done something again this time.
Shirley rolled her eyes lazily, "You already know the answer. Shut your mouth and accompany me to eat this dessert," Shirley retorted.
Noah finally put down the book he was holding and decided to accompany Shirley to enjoy their time together.
"Your taste isn't bad," Noah said as he tried the dessert Shirley had brought.
"It's delicious, isn't it? I know their cakes are delicious," Shirley replied enthusiastically.
It felt like Shirley could finish two or three more pieces of cake at this point, but she would refrain from doing so.
Meanwhile, Noah glanced at Shirley who looked uncharacteristic, she seemed to be smiling more and really enjoying herself.
Unusually Noah noticed that Shirley was more talkative now, even as she was currently recounting her trip to the capital.
"Don't you have any friends to tell this to?" asked Noah after Shirley had stopped speaking.
Instantly Shirley gave Noah a sharp look, "You're such a bitch."
"That goes for you too. No wonder why you don't have any friends," Noah replied with a smile on his face.
On Shirley's face Noah's smile seemed to mock her, but she refrained from getting angry because he was trying to improve the situation between them.
"Forget this, the reason I'm here is to hear your answer." Shirley waved her hand and began to urge Noah to give her an answer.
Noah was silent for a while as he was still a little uncomfortable with the offer Shirley had made to him earlier.
But, Noah could not deny that it was a good offer for both of them.
"I don't mind pretending to be your fiancée, it's just a fiancée anyway," Noah finally said after a few moments of silence.
"But, in return you can help me get revenge on Count Janice's family." Noah continued with his words.
Shirley grinned happily after hearing Noah's answer. Now Shirley could get back at Thalia and Victor for what they had done to her.
You could see that she would not let those two people live in peace from now on.
"I don't mind your wishes, so I'll bring the contract to you tomorrow." Shirley extended her hand to shake hands with Noah.
Without hesitation, Noah shook Shirley's hand as a sign of their cooperation.
"I'll take you to my family mansion tomorrow and introduce you to my family. I'm sure they'll be very surprised," Shirley said with a big grin on her face.
Shirley could already imagine the look on her family's faces when she introduced Noah as her fiancé.
"Wow, I didn't expect you to be this crazy." Noah was slightly horrified when he saw how wide Shirley's grin was at the moment.
"You're just as crazy as me, so don't protest." Shirley glared viciously at Noah.
Now Shirley just needed to go back and write their cooperation contract. As Shirley decided to leave here, she then remembered something important.
"Before I go, I want to ask you something," Shirley said sitting back down, "do you know where I can get a mana stone?" Shirley continued then.
"Mana stone? My family has a mana stone quarry, I think you can get it at one of the shops under the Janice Family name." Noah said what he knew.
The look on Shirley's face immediately turned to horror when she heard Noah's explanation.
"How could I look for a mana stone in your family's company!" Shirley didn't think that Janice's family owned a mana mine.
Shirley fell onto the sofa with a limp, if it was like this how could she make up for her debt with that damn system.
"You get ready tomorrow, I'll pick you up!" Shirley quickly got up from her position and left.
. . .
Today Shirley had planned to surprise her family with someone she would bring.
Currently standing by the window of her room, Shirley was waiting for someone to arrive.
"Where is he, why isn't he here yet?" muttered Shirley quietly as she continued to stare out of her bedroom window.
In the distance, Shirley saw a horse-drawn carriage entering her family mansion and a grin appeared on her face.
Shirley quickly walked out to greet the guest she had been waiting for today.
"I've been waiting for you," Shirley said with a smile when she saw Noah get off the carriage.
"Ready to make some trouble?" Noah walked over to Shirley while extending his hand.
Shirley didn't hesitate to take it, and hugged Noah's arm as they walked into the mansion.
