Shirley and Noah were now taken to the meeting room where they were confronted by Gilbert and Rosemary, who seemed confused by Noah's strange visit. Rosemary herself looks suspicious of Shirley's current actions.
Especially when Rosemary herself saw how Shirley was treating Noah, she felt that there was something strange between them at the moment.
"What brings the young master of Count Janice's family here?" Gilbert finally raised his voice to question Noah.
"Why do you ask that, Father? Of course Noah came to see me," Shirley quickly replied and hooked her arm through Noah's again.
Noah did not reject Shirley's action, he even gently stroked Shirley's hand that hugged him and he also looked at Shirley warmly.
For a moment Shirley felt her cheeks begin to heat up, she shook her head softly to realise, how could she be fascinated by Noah, when this was all an act!
"What do you mean to see you, Shirley?" This time it was Rosemary who spoke up.
Shirley laughed softly, then said, "I seem to have forgotten to tell you before, Noah is my new fiancé."
As if a bomb had been dropped on them, Shirley's parents' faces were extremely pale at this moment, not expecting the time when they would witness Shirley introducing her new fiancé to them.
Everyone knew that Shirley Estelle was crazy about Victor Blair and Gilbert knew this very well, which was why he was currently very confused about what Shirley was doing.
"You and someone from Count Janice's family?" Rosemary still looked shocked by what Shirley said.
"I know that you must be in disbelief, but I'm really in love with Shirley," Noah said with a brilliant smile plastered on his handsome face.
As Noah said that again Shirley felt her heart beat faster, in her eyes now Noah's black hair fluttered coolly as he turned his head and looked at her warmly.
After that, Shirley had to convince her parents for a few moments before they were finally let out of the room.
Shirley took Noah to her backyard for tea and also to talk about their plans, after all, she had to show that they were serious, so she invited Noah to chat with her.
"You seem to be satisfied with my acting," Noah said as he sipped his tea.
"I have to thank you. Look at their faces when I tell them you're my new fiancé," Shirley replied excitedly, she couldn't wait to see Thalia's reaction.
"You praise me too much, I should have been surprised. I didn't expect you to act that intimate with me so easily." Noah put down his teacup and looked at Shirley seriously this time.
"As long as I can achieve my goal, I don't mind doing anything." Shirley replied casually.
"No wonder indeed, you do live up to your reputation," Noah replied then chuckled softly.
Shirley shook her hand lazily, knowing that what Noah said was meant to mock her. "How could I blush at this little bastard's acting," Shirley felt regretful for blushing at Noah's actions earlier.
"Besides, there's something more important right now. Since you've done me a favour today, I'll do you a favour too so just tell me if there's anything you want to do for your lovely family," Shirley explained as she slipped Noah a bit of an expletive.
Noah snorted softly, his face turning very cold when Shirley mentioned his family, "Soon my family will hold a banquet for Thalia and Duke Blair, accompany me there," Noah explained.
Shirley laughed happily when she heard that, hadn't all this been prepared for her way of revenge, she might as well show off her new relationship with Noah.
"Isn't this very coincidental, I will help you make trouble at the banquet," Shirley replied happily helping Noah.
"But, for this time we have to use my way, not your extreme way," Noah retorted with a smile that reached his eyes.
Shirley frowned in confusion, she did not understand what Noah meant now. Seeing how confused Shirley was at the moment, Noah then began to explain what he had planned and how they would destroy her family banquet later.
. . .
After successfully shocking the entire family mansion Shirley was very happy and she was satisfied to see how Rosemary looked at her with a very piercing gaze.
Shirley's purpose of asking Noah to cooperate was not only because he was from Janice's family, but the fact that her half-sister Charlotte was very fond of Noah who was famous among the nobles with his handsome face.
That's why Shirley enjoyed seeing Rosemary's face turn pale when she saw her with Noah before. Shirley dared to do that because she knew that her father would be at the meeting.
Rosemary would not dare to do anything to her in front of her father, if Shirley was alone she would not dare to openly disturb Rosemary.
Shirley was sure that Rosemary would insult her severely and there would be a possibility of her getting beaten up, if she made her stepmother lose her temper.
"I still haven't forgotten the angry look on her face," Shirley muttered as she giggled on the sofa in her room.
Shirley was currently reading the letter sent by Sebastian, previously he had sent a letter discussing his duties while in the capital. And now Shirley received news that Sebastian had begun to perform his duties smoothly.
"It's nice to work with someone who is competent. If everything goes well, then I can get out of this damn house soon!" Shirley hissed while clenching her fists tightly.
Ever since her biological mother died and her father brought a new wife to the mansion, Shirley had been sick of living in this house. She completely understood why Joseph had decided to become a Battlemage and settle in the magic tower.
And actually right now Shirley was waiting for a reply letter from Joseph, but she did not get what she expected.
"Is he really that busy? I really need his help to get a mana stone," muttered Shirley feeling quite agitated because the damn system had already charged her for the payment.
Shirley's reverie was interrupted when she heard a noise enter her room without permission, when she turned to see who had dared to disturb her, she found Charlotte there sobbing.
"A bitch like you doesn't deserve Noah! Why did you take my Noah!" screeched Charlotte still with her annoying sobs.
Shirley rolled her eyes when she saw how dramatic Charlotte was, got up from her position and slowly walked over to Charlotte who was still glaring at her.
"Your Noah? How could Noah be yours? Are you hallucinating? Noah was never yours, Charlotte," Shirley said as she gently caressed Charlotte's tear-drenched cheeks.
Charlotte's already reddened eyes squinted even more, she was beginning to think that what her mother had said was true, Shirley was a devil!
