Neveah drove all the way to the house and parked her car in front.
She went there to take her things since she wouldn't be living there anymore. Although she had no where to stay at right now, living under a bridge would be better than staying at your ex's house, right?
Since Neveah had made up her mind, she took a deep breath and entered the house, she half expected her ex's parents to start yelling at her or to guilt trip her by talking about how long their child had stayed with Neveah despite the fact that she didn't have a child.
Their child was a good man and bla blah blah. Neveah was ready to yell at the top of her lungs if the need arose but what Neveah didn't expect was seeing Lily sitting so close to Liam that their body could melt into each others, in the middle of Liam's parents and the latter showering Lily with all kind of affection and praise.
Even though Neveah had told herself that she wasn't hurt by what Liam did, her heart really hurt. It hurt so much that it was as if someone gripped her heart and pressed so hardly on it.
They had never treated her like that before. Even when she and Liam first began to date, they never liked her and they always tried to use her. So what changed? Compared to her, Lily was lazy, a bitch and a pretentious woman.
Ha! They had even given her a gift! There was a ruby bracelet on Lily's wrist.
Why do people in movies love these kinds of women rather than the hardworking, honest and normal women? Or was it because Lily was more prettier? And was able to attract people so easily?
Neveah scoffed and looked away, she was done with this family so why should she feel these things? They even noticed that she entered but none of them said anything to her. So that means they had all decided to ignore her which also meant that they didn't want her anymore.
"Ha! As if I wanted anything to have to do with you all. I'll see how you'll get the money to buy any of your designer bags, household items and huge amounts of of food. I'm looking forward to see it! Humph!" Neveah mumbled under her breath and went into her room to take all of her stuff.
She doesn't have a lot of things, just some clothes, hardly any jewelries and the box her mother left for her. For some reason, she wanted to open the box to check if everything inside was complete and once she did, she gasped in anger.
The ruby bracelet that she was given had disappeared. And immediately, she remembered the ruby bracelet she saw on Lily's wrist. It was hers. They had taken her ruby bracelet and gave it to Lily.
"Those bastards! How could they steal my stuff!" Neveah growled and stood up, she went to the sitting room where they were all still talking and laughing.
Without stopping, she walked towards Lily, took her wrists and yanked the bracelet off her wrist. At the same time, she checked for her initials on the side of the bracelet and sure enough, her initials were on the bracelet.
"You are all so shameless, if you wanted to give your pretentious new wife a gift, why didn't you buy one yourself and give it to her? Why did you have to go through my stuff and steal one of my things?!"
Lily winced when Neveah yanked the bracelet away from her wrist, her white and slender wrist was now red.
"Sis! That hurt so much! Why do you like to hurt me so much?" Lily sobbed and immediately, Liam's mother, Serena stood up and slapped Neveah.
Neveah's head snapped to the side as a result of the force of the slap. She was shocked. No matter how much the woman nagged or yelled at her, she never tried to hit her. Now she hit her because of what?
Because of her own bracelet? The bracelet that her mother gave her?
That's unacceptable. So fucking unacceptable!
"How dare you wound our Lily just because of an ordinary ruby brace... Ahhh!" Neveah raised her hand and in slow motion, it descended on Serena's face.
With wide eyes, Neveah turned around and slapped Lily as well. It made her fall to the ground in shock, "That was the last slap I wanted to give you back in the hotel room for decieving me, I didn't get to do it back then so I'm returning the favour now."
Neveah eyed Liam who shrunk under her gaze and she scoffed, Liam had always been a wimp. She turned her head to Serena, "Since you think of my bracelet as ordinary, why did you steal it and give it to her? Tell me!"
