Chapter 7 - Being played by fate

Han Jin didn't know exactly where to go. She still found it hard to accept the fact that her own mother, Soo Jae had actually kicked her out of the house. She knew that her mother had never showed her love but she didn't expect such a thing from her mother.

This was good though, leaving the Han family house was going to help her escape from her tragic fate. This was a good chance for her to escape from her ill-fated past.

She could start a whole new life on her own and faraway from this family.

This was a second chance and she wasn't going to mess with it for anything or for anyone.

'My life again is not something I'm going to mess with.'

Han Jin made a decision at this very moment. She was going to forget everything, her past, her family and everything connected to her including her identity. She was going to start a brand new life somewhere else and faraway from here.

Later, Han Jin sat under a huge oak tree pondering on where to go when she felt someone's presence behind her. She immediately stood up instinctively and turned around but she couldn't see clearly because the whole place was dark, it was evening time. However she could hear some movements.

"Who... who's there?", Han Jin felt her self trembling but she tried not to show it.

Han Jin didn't know how or when but she soon lost consciousness.

Han Jin slowly opened her eyes but everywhere was dark, her head seemed to be covered with something. She felt a splitting headache and wanted to reach out her hand to rub her head but she felt her hands and feet tied.

Han Jin's heart missed a beat and her past came rolling back into her memory. She remembered the moment when her hands and feet had been tied.

Had everything before been a dream? Had she not returned to the past.

It was at this moment that she heard some footsteps which seemed to be approaching her.

She pretended to be unconscious and see if she could find some information on where she was and what was going on.

"The girl is still unconscious? She should have been awake by now", said a male voice which Han Jin heard.

"I feel pity for her though. She's way too pretty to be forced into something nasty like that", replied the other person.

"Hey watch your words, don't let anyone else hear you. You have a point though, the girl seems extremely young and she's really pretty. I admit that I've never met anyone as pretty as her", said the first person.

Han Jin felt him squat beside her and she tried not to move even she was extremely nervous and also curious about why she had been kidnapped.

It seemed like everything had not been a dream, she had really returned to the past and had been kidnapped. Were they planning on killing her? Selling her? Exactly what were they going to use her for?

Han Jin felt the thing covering her head being lifted but she didn't dare to open her eyes.

"Goodness, she's so pretty. I almost thought she was a goddess", said a young man who had just arrived but had seen her face already.

"Boss is going to decide what she's going to use her for. It's such a pity that she's going to be sold", said the last person with a sigh.

"If she were to be an assassin, with such a seductive face, all her missions will work out", said the first person with a hint of laughter in his voice.

"Assassin? Huh? Such a tiny and fragile girl being an assassin? You're not serious, are you?"

"It's impossible for her to be an assassin, Widow is only filled males"

"Right. But still, anyone would want to die for her", said the last person in a daze.

"Anyone... including you?", The first person said, his voice teasing.

"No!", The last person was startled and stuttered, his face had turned slightly red.

"He's blushing, seems like I'm right. Black Dog is crushing on the little sister here", the first person, who was known as Cutler couldn't help but tease his mate.

"Shhhh, you'll wake the little pretty girl.", Black Dog knocked knife on the head.

"F*ck You!", Knife cursed out loud and was about to return the favour but someone stopped him from behind.

"Who the...", Knife was about to curse at whoever had dared to stop him but he immediately shut his mouth and kept his head down.

It was a woman who had stopped Knife, and a beautiful one to be precise. She was brightening with beauty and elegance. Her name was Shan Tian, the leader of a top assassin group, Widow.

Widow was an assassin group which came into existence almost five years ago but had already surpassed other assassin groups and had risen to the top ranks. Widow was now ranked no.2 across the world and underworld.

And the leader of this huge was a young woman in her early thirties.

"Have you guys not had enough? Don't you think you're going to scare the little girl?", The woman shifted her eyes onto the tiny figure lying on the ground. She caught a glimpse of the girl's eyelashes trembling and she chuckled.

Knife and Black Dog stared at each other in shock, had they just seen the big boss smile?

Shan Tian quickly regained her composure upon realizing what she had just done.

"Open your eyes", Shan Tian's voice sounded cold without any tiny hint of warmness which sent a shiver down Han Jin's spine.

She didn't dare to delay and immediately opened her eyes.

"What? The beauty was already awake?", Black Dog sounded extremely shocked.

Han Jin lifted her head to catch a glimpse of her kidnàppers who were planning on selling her.

There were a total of three young men and a woman.

Han Jin's eyes were filled with admiral for Shan Tian, she had to admit that the woman was really pretty and had a graceful figure. One might even mistake her for a Queen.

Shan Tian caught the young girl staring at her, she walked over and bent down.

She stretched out her hand and grabbed Han Jin's chin, she lifted it causing Han Jin to look her in the eye.

"Ouch...", Han Jin winced in pain, she could feel the woman's long nails piercing through her flesh.

"What's your name?", Shan Tian tightened her grip around the girl's chin.

"Han...Han Jin...", Han Jin trembled, she was filled with fear.

The woman was pretty and seemed cool at first but now, Han Jin was filled with fear when she stared at the woman's eyes.

Did they really plan on selling her? They didn't seem to be joking earlier on. She thought she had escaped from the Han family and could finally be free but it seemed that fate was making fun of her.

A tear flowed from her eyes and fell into Shan Tian's palms.
