"Not so fast," A voice comes down from the top of the trees, it was Amir. "Kill him too; I don't have much time to waste here."
"You dare ignore me." Amir jumps from the tree and rushes back to Ariel. "Look up, it's your doom." Abbadon looked up. The leaves of trees around him were coming down from the sky, and their speed wasn't normal. The second leaf touched the ground and it made a hole in it. "You increased the weight of leaves, impressive." The leaves started falling on both of them like bullets raining from the sky. One leaf was strong enough to smash a rock into pieces. "Die, you arrogant bastard." Amir looks at Ariel "You saw that? I just defeated them in an instant."
Ariel rushes towards Zayan. "Hey, he isn't healing. You can heal him, right?" Amir looks at Zayan; "Let him be. He isn't our problem. If he dies, it would be a good riddance."
"What the hell is wrong with you? Why do you hate him so much?" Ariel asks with a calm yet aggressive tone. "He was banished from his house; he is just as those two guys--"
"You thought you have killed us both?" Amir looks back with shock in his eyes. When he turns back, he sees that Abbadon and the other guy are standing there unharmed and the leaves he threw from the tree have vanished as well. "How did you--"
"You forgot what I told you about my Prodigy? I can decrease the existence of anything I touch. And I can decrease them until nothing is left, meaning that I can remove things from existence." Abbadon turns around; "I have important things to take care of. Goodbye, Zayan." Amir rushes towards Abbadon; "Like I would let you run away." Before Amir could reach it, Abbadon disappears into the woods. "I am your opponent. My name is Aminta the defender." Amir jumps and kicks Aminta in the face, "And I don't care." Aminta falls off his feet and touches the ground, "What the hell?" Aminta thought. "How is he this strong--" Before he could think anything else Amir kicked him in the gut, Aminta flew and hit his back to the tree. "I just increased your body weight, now it's equal to a boulder's weight," Amir smirks. Amir turns his back and looks towards Ariel, "Leave him already, he is better off dead."
"Why do you hate him so much?"
"He was born into a noble family but, he doesn't have the talent for using Prodigies like his father, what does that mean? You understand, don't you?"
"That he is not his father, so what? If he isn't like his father doesn't mean you can just start hating him for being born."
"Exactly. He is a bastard. His mother slept with some other guy and to top it off, it wasn't another Noble, and it was a human. An Aurian gets his Prodigies from his father, it doesn't matter if the mother is a commoner or from another house, the kid will always have the same Prodigy as his father, my father is an Augmentum, that's why I am also Augmentum even though my mother is from House of Anima."
"That's their family problem. Why do you hate him?"
"Everyone hates a bastard. If he was a bastard of another noble, even that would be expected. We hate humans and his mother was executed by his brother to show what happens to women who don't respect the boundaries of marriage."
"It doesn't make any sense to me. And what happened to that human?"
"She never ratted him out, so he survived, and I don't expect you to understand because you were humans once."
"Good story--" A man's voice came from behind. It was Aminta, he was standing on his feet. "Let's begin, Noble."
"How the hell are you standing, your body weighs more than a ton?"
"I am from House of Dynamo. I possess Prodigy absorption. So, your weight increase won't work on me." Amir runs towards him, "Let's test that theory." Aminta smirks, Amir makes a punch and throws at Aminta, and Aminta doesn't even move and takes the punch head-on. "What the hell?" Amir says that his punch didn't even make him flinch.
"My turn--" Aminta punches Amir in the face, and he falls to his knees. Before he can move a finger, Aminta kicks him in the face and starts kicking and punching him again and again. Amir tries to punch but, his punches don't even hurt him a bit. Ariel didn't budge from his place; he was sitting there with Zayan's bleeding body in his lap. Maybe he was afraid or just didn't want to fight. Aminta takes Amir by the neck and starts choking him. Amir struggles, but it is in vain to Aminta's absorption prodigy. Aminta hears someone coming towards him. When he stops choking Amir and looks back before he can see anything, Ariel punches him in the face and breaks his nose. "I don't use prodigy, it means you are done for now." Ariel gives Amir his hand to stand up, Amir was hurt but it wasn't that bad. "He can absorb prodigy when he knows that it is there, if we punch him at random we can win. You will use your weight increase prodigy, right after I punch him and he is not looking." Ariel says to Amir, "Okay!"
Ariel punches Aminta in the jaw and sends him flying, Amir decreases his body weight to increase his speed, but before Aminta can hit the ground Amir punches him in the gut, and Aminta falls on the ground slowly. "What the hell?" Aminta asks. "I decreased your body weight, now it's just about enough to throw you from here--" Amir takes Aminta from his collar and throws him towards Ariel, "to there."
Ariel is already standing in position, he jumps and round kicks Aminta's flying body, turning it back towards Amir, who is standing with a 5-foot-long log in his hand, he hits Aminta and throws him back towards Ariel. Ariel takes him by the head and smashes his head on the ground, "Goal." Ariel shouts. "Good job. Why you didn't join our fight when I was getting punched?"
"I was figuring out how these prodigies work, in the book Art of War there is a quote 'A war is won before it's fought.' Or something like that. If I had joined you in a fight without figuring out how to stop him, we both would be in the ground."
