In a room of a mansion surrounding by greenery, a boy with white flowing hair can be seen resting in his little bed, seemingly peaceful with everything around him.
Hours and hours passed by and soon his eyes gradually opened.
Opening my eyes, what greeted me were the white ceilings opposite me.
Disappointment filled my body, as part of me still wished that I was simply dreaming, that nothing I saw and know was real.
But those thoughts were rendered useless as my mind was naturally clear. The memories of both lifes attached to me, akin to a soul and a body.
Moving my body, I changed from a sleeping position to a sitting position. ' It still feels sore af. ' I thought. ' hurts much more than my first ever gym workout. '
I joke about my suffering. " memeories heh.. "
Turning my head upwards again, I saw a semi transparent clock.
I thought I saw something attached to the ceiling when I opened my eyes.
I guess it was just a clock, but the half-transparent state made it really hard to distinguish.
Glancing at it, I saw the time. " 9 am huh " I spoke.
" It was about sunrise when I return here, so I should have probably slept for around 4 hrs given that it's now 9 am. " I made a conclusion from what I had.
Stopping my thoughts on why would a clock be up there, I got up and walk straight into the bathroom.
I was really tired back then when I came here, therefore I only showered, disregarding my " now to-be " facial features which most people in my situation would first check.
As stated before, I already knew what I look like, but just like how you wouldn't be able to make clear of sth you've once see it.
I'm also the same, I don't have a clear picture of myself. The appearance in my own mind were simply ideas of memories, so not being able to see it is to be expected
Glancing at the mirror, I saw myself. Flowing white hair adorned my being, they were long, but they're at the perfect length.
Sharp nose with a great jaw line, made me as if I'm crafted by god itself.
Excitement surged within me as I thought about how all the celebrities in my past life combined, wouldn't be able to match with this level of aestheticism.
Calming my self down, I glanced at my self again. The excitement can still be felt in my being, but it's being suppress gradually.
Soon my gaze landed on myself, exactly at my pupils.
" Grey eyes! " I muttered out surprisingly. This revelation came unexpectedly as from my memories, my eyes weren't grey.
It was black, with a tad of grey, and absolutely not grey being the dominant color.
" Must have been something to do with the fusion of souls. " I concluded quietly, ' Though I'm not exactly sure, but the only abnormality affecting me is me ' I reasoned.
I spent around a minute admiring my new found facial features, and gazed downwards.
glancing at my body that is bare chested, I saw the physique of someone who leans to the skinnier side rather than a bulky one.
There seems to be some tad bit of muscle here and some tad bit there but it wouldn't be to the point of being called aesthetically pleasing.
' My old body was better this ' I thought.
but as soon as this came, my mind gave me answer to my inquires.
' This world logic is different to the one I used to live in. '
Muscle doesn't correlate to strengths. Well to some extend it does but mana plays the superior role, unless aura joins in that is.
Meaning that even if people without much muscles can still be strong, as they can be enhanced with mana.
Aura can also work similarly, but training it will lead you to muscle growth rendering the " no mucles equals strong " thing useless
And alike to muscle and strength, the concepts of lifespan is also different here.
In my old world, humans could only live up to 100 years or so and some lucky ones, especially in some rural areas of my country have the privilege to live as far as 150 years old.
' if the concept that I know of, works here, then according to the novel, Higher ranks would proportionate to longer lifespan. '
It's only been a century and a half since human started to evolve, so undoubtedly not much research would done on the subject.
There was no such information in the novel, even in the auxiliary chapters.
I only remembered that piece of data because It was a reply from the author to a comment in the website his novel hosted.
Well even if there isn't a substantial amount of experiment done to support the theory.
It's evidence, which are the surviving old generations, are more than enough to show that lifespans had increased.
Shaking my head as if to not waste any more time on useless ceasing, I turn myself to the slim long edge sword situated in the at the wall.
Without another thought, I went up and grabbed the sword from its holder.
Dark vertical lines can be seen covering it's handle, making it give off a melancholic vibe.
The white base of the handle made it blend in with the white walls, as if to conceal itself from potential enemies.
The edge was not where to been seen, as it's covered by the sword's sheath, which is also entirely white.
Holding it, I can feel it's feather like weight, making it easy to hold, akin to holding nothing at all.
" It's slim and light " I spoke normally, but soon a grin appeared on my face. " but it's deadly as hell "

Using my memeories to navigate the mansion, I soon found myself at a metallic door in the basement.
There was no intersting design like the structures I saw on the way.
It was simply bland, like that of a metal wall rather than a door
using my palm to touch the circular spot of the door, it opened instantly.
There was no gap in the door for one to see, so Its really hard to find it.
Without further delaying I went into the training room with only one goal in mind.
" Time to verify my strength " I said as a small grin soon plastered on my face.
