Walking through the door, I arrived at the training ground.
Well it's my family's training ground to be precise.
Although it's not as big as the ones I can get at the academy or big guilds, it's enough for use and doing training.
Unsheathing the sword I hold, I started to reveiw my skills.
I thought there might be problems to my ability, as my soul had hypothethically fused with one another, but I guess my abilities remained the same.
Using the [{E} Basic Sword Art ] I began to perform it to confirm my skills.
Perfect Stabs, Thrusts and Slashes were seen dancing around the training room, making the before silence room hummed in harmony.
Drops of sweat filled my body as I continued to perform my Art basics movement.
Coming to a halt, I muttered something out of my mouth. " Status "

- Controls temperament both emotionaly and physically.
- Control one's atmospheric presence or pressure.

Upon looking at my status, I willed myself to see the progress of my Sword Art.
And soon the information of my Sword Art began to manifest anew.
[{III} Basic Sword Art ] : Foundational sword art of swordmans, It is the perfect sword technique for one to start learning swordsmanship.

Level of Matery : Competence
Arts in this world works differently from skills. As skills are abilities obtain from the world's gift and external means, therefore nearly all of them would be static in its power.
While Arts can be learn by anyone, practitioner would not be able to have the privileged to use it instantly as it requires time and effort in the craft.
Arts also have their own level of Mastery. " Novice " is the first level followed by " advanced Beginner " , " Competence " , " Proficient " , and ending with " Expert " .
Being at the level of competence simply means that one have put a lot of their attention and time on their art. I referred to myself.
Even if the art is a low tier one. It would still take years for one to gain great mastery over it.
Even so, it's overall is better than skills, as they are the determiner of the basics, and the holders of potential.
Most battles use skills as something you would call as tricks, due to the " no effort put in it " .
Having that, " skills " still have their own value as they are also great in their own right.
Much the skill I have : [{E} burst thrust ] allows me to instantly increase my attack making the affects of thrust more deadly compare to normal.
Oh right some skills are also gained through hardwork, much like the one I have, which were through repetitive thrusting rather than a skill box from a dungeon.
This such a contradiction to the previous statement, but most skills people have, are usually acquired through dungeon drops, making the general perception of it less valued than Art.
Then again, not many people would want to put in crazy efforts in hopes of acheiving a skill, so the easier option were still skill scrolls.
After testing my sword Arts, I soon decide to try my skills.
Using [{E} Burst Thrust ] , I instantly dash farward.
halting my acceleration, I release my sword, thrusting it with full throttle.
Mana seeped into my legs as I performed the skill, and concentrate on the sword as I thrust farward.
" Whoosssssss " the sound of the cutting wind resounded loudly as the dummy in front of me received the attack.
Finishing my skill, I looked at the wooden dummy in front and found a deep scratch mark adorning it's chest area.
A satisfied smile wore on my face as I saw the results of my skill.
' This could definitely to be used as a finisher move.' I omited.
' Although the power isn't as strong as an E rank's attack , it would still be an attack 2 ranks stronger than my current rank. '
The reason for the wooden dummy having only a scratch was that it was not an ordinary wooden dummy as it can withstand most attackes under A rank.
Rather than a dummy, it's actually an artifact. a " [ B ] " rank one at that.
As my families runs quite a powerful guild in this city, owning a unique tool was of expected. I'll talk more about my family at another time.
Turning my attention to the other skill I owed, I spoke excitedly.
" Now, let's test the other one. "
When I first saw my status, between the two skills I had, The [{C} Temperament control ] intrigued me the most.
[{C} Temperament control ] ( growth skill ) :
- Controls temperament both emotionaly and physically.
- Control one's atmospheric presence or pressure.
Looking at its information again, my eyes pin-point on the " ( growth skill ) " part.
It's only two words, but its existence signifies a superior state that transcends most skills.
This simply means that the skill can be leveled up just like Art, but one thing is different form it's level up system though as there is not progress for it to be shown.
Much to the easier to understand art with its progress and state of mastery shown, Skills offer no such details.
Looking at its rank, I let out a sigh.
It's base rank is already [ C ] rank, causing me to make a mental note that It'll probably be stuck there for a while until I nearly reach [ C ] rank or higher.
Then as to put on a cool pose, I snapped my fingers and activated the skill : [{C} Temperament Control ] .
