*CANES POV*
Stealing from people like Cadmus and Lex Corp was the best. Batman usually kept his stuff in the bat-cave which I could break into it would be getting out that could be the problem especially without the warp sword.
I was currently in a Cadmus facility with believe it or not G-nomes. Isn't that fucking great! Like this narrows what universe variant I'm in by like a lot. There was of course one or two anomalies but hey it's a start.
Now! I came here because I heard that they had some tech from apocalypse and I am very interested in it. I also needed to keep an eye out for clones. Superboy, Match, and Roy if I couldn't find them here then I might be able find info on them.
All I needed to do was avoid getting caught which is why I'm in the vents crawling around. Gotta say I wasn't sure if they would hold but they are surprisingly sturdy. Are all air-ducts like this? Or is it because this is a super secret base? Questions for later.
I'm lookin at a doc that is making a syrum called blockbuster. Me see, me like, me take. Now all I gotta do is kill this dude and take his resurch. If I recall correctly he was responsible for the clones...for the most part I mean.
Aiming my pistol, I wondered if I should do it now or when I leave. If I do it now it would call attention and I might have to leave. But if I do it later he might escape or I might not be able to get to him before I leave.
What to do, what to do? Before I could decide the door opened and a buff Roy clone entered. Guardian I see. The chances of finding the others juuuust increased. Nice.
You know what! Ima find Roy, Superboy and whoever else is here before dippin. Before continuing my vent journey, I left a mini drone to grab the block buster formula when it had a chance. I had to stop and get out of the vents when I got to an elevator.
While going down after hacking the thing I got a message from our group chat. Jayden just killed the Joker and Harley. Shame Harley was kinda hot but what can ya do? Sometimes fuckers gots to go.
Ah, Ken just replied, it amounted to him asking if Jayden needed out and him complaining about how much trouble we get in. We're not that bad...right?
Without me noticing the door opened...and an army of G-nomes were outside. "Oh...hi ima just." Repeatedly presses the close door button.
Glowing horns and a monstrous roars filled the air as they charged the elevator. It closed just in time but they did bend the door. Shit he was invisible to the cameras but not to the actual people. He could get past any sensor or fire wall but when it comes to actual people...yeah stealth is a must.
Shouldered slumping he decided to use some his new creations. Hammer Space was like an inventory quirk. It let you store shit in a pocket dimension and let you take it out at will. You did however have to install either a chip or something else in your head, so you have access to the dimension at will.
Then there was my personal favorite Arsenal! It was a gun that shoots out lasers, stun shots, capture foam, regular ammunition, concussive sound blasts, and even grenades! It was one of the best weapons he made.
Of course, he could have something similar with Ken's items, but this is more fun! Like he made this wasn't even that big either was a little bigger than the average assault riffle. It could change its form to use the different ammo upon the users will, it was fucking great!
Pulling out said gun he began to make sure it was loaded and ready to go when he stopped. If he was right about the clones he might need something. With a thought a pair of pistols were in his hand.
He had several bullets that would only Fire with this gun and this gun would only fire in his hands. It was a bitch to make but worth it.
One bullet turned into kriptonite in a gas form. It was mixed with several other agents to paralyze/knock out. This (depending on how much inhaled) could last for a week.
The other was liquid and was made to enter the blood stream and effectively make a kryptonian have human level strength, speed and vulnerability for about a day.
The last was a solid kryptonite bullet. You can take a guess what that one is for.
As the door reached the last floor and opened he was met with another army of G-nomes. He responded with a blast of air/sound. The smaller ones were knocked out and the others staggered and tried to cover their ear equivalents.
He used stun rounds to take out the others. He wasn't going to kill them...yet. He would offer them freedom and potentially if things whent his way a job.
Making his way down the corridor, he shot those still up while he whistled that song from kill Bill. He didn't know the name of the song, but it was cool, so he'd use it.
It wasn't long until he came across a screaming teen with an S on his chest. There was no sign of intelligence, so he assumed this was Match.
The clone charged at him arms raised and screaming like he killed his dog. Before he could reach him, he was shot with a liquid round. His veins turned a luminescent green as he fell.
He looked ill as he rose again stumbling as he tried to gain his footing. Before he could do anything, he was hit with a stun shot...and then two more juust to be sure.
With a sigh of defeat, he put the now unconscious clone over his shoulder. Trudging his way down the alley he stopped and opened a door that was super locked. It opened for him easily, but the effort was noticed.
Inside was vats filled with G-nomes and other creatures. Some humanoid in nature but many more were monstrous figures. Looking though the veery encrypted files he saw that they made these from scratch.
Ken couldn't turn them back into their original forms, because they had no original form. From embryos to now, the best he could do is either kill them or reform them into more stable forms.
As he moves, he came across several disfigured Roy clones it wasn't long until he found the original. Dude was missing an arm and was floating in a tube.
Before he could do anything a roar and another clone of Superman came at him. This one was different, he held some intelligence he could see it in his eyes.
As he charged, he destroyed many pods, and when he came face to face with Cane, he was shot with a stun shot. A very, very, very, powerful stun shot.
He fell to the ground shaking and growling. Poking the shaking teen with his foot Cane decided it was best to speak . "WOW! your pretty stupid. I mean you didn't even know what I could do you just went for it.
Look at ya! Growlin like a dog...are you part dog?" That comment got him a glare that could kill. He couldn't move but he sure as shit tried.
"Heya do you wanna leave?" The grunt he got in return conveyed anger and the desire to cause bodily harm. He can't have that with his new friend.
"Come now. Don't you wanna see outside? You are in a lab being used as a tool. Don't you want a life?" Glare, grunt. Not a good sign for progress. I might need to take a different approach.
"That S on your chest it is supposed to show your relation to Superman, right? You are meant to replace him, right?" He didn't answer but I could see it in his eyes. I was right.
"How are you supposed to replace him if the only thing you know is a lab and photos. Superman isn't a tool, and NEITHER ARE YOU. Out there is actually people and things you can't simulate. The sun, breeze, ocean, flowers, Superman." That got his attention.
Shooting him again I continued; "Yeah, Superman and the rest of the League are out there. You were made to be a hero, right? You can't do that from here. So waddya say wanna see some real sun light?"
After a moment Superboy regained some control over his body and gave a nod after giving me a murderous glare. Shakily getting up Superboy took a lazy swing at me, I let it hit. Shoved me some but didn't hurt, giving him a nod I began to take Roy out of his pod.
Superboy had questions but we were running out of time so I motioned him to wait while I got ready to bail. I got new friends and new toys and while there was plenty more I wanted like the block buster formula but I got a lot now and there was no telling when backup would come and what exactly they were packing.
I could take care of myself but with three others? Nah two of em are incapacitated and the other might turn on me. As I had my wires wrap around the two troublemakers, I saw from the corner of my eye a big, locked door. And when I say big, I mean BIG like that bitch was meant to take on missiles without a scratch.
There was nothing in their data bases that told me what was behind the door, but I was very interested. Before I could make a move, the building shuttered violently. I had almost forgotten that I was found out. Flames entered the room blowing up the nearby pods. Turning I grabbed the stunned and still out of it superboy and ran to the mysterious room.
Once one of my cables linked up with the pad that let people in and out the door was in my control. I opened it just a smidge, just enough for me and my new stuff. Once inside I closed the door the rest of the way stopping the flames. The room still shook violently. Before I could say anything the cry of a baby filled the room.
I looked at Superboy, he looked at me. We looked at where the sound came from, and back at each other. Placing my new friends/stuff down we made our way closer to the crying. Inside a...crip? was a baby code name Galatea.
Oh boy that's not good. This is a big change from Young Justice I mean we were changing a lot already, but you get the point. He was going to take her, no question...but how to tell Ken. He raised a toddler before but a baby? This was going to be funny.
Now all he had to do is get out of here, and avoid who ever caused that explosion.
*SOZU POV*
Finding an assassin was as hard as he thought it would be. False trails rumors, traps, other assassins what bull.
After three months he tracked that slippery asshole down. Like fuck he isn't like a stealth guy as much as he is a fighter. Whatever he found him now so it doesn't matter.
Entering a wearhouse I was immediately attacked. Bronze Tiger had appearantly heard of my attempts to find him and wanted to either kill or test me.
I was still wearing a blind fold so it was harder to fight but somethings I practiced in the past. Ken was underestimating himself, he was more skilled than he thought.
Compared to people like Batman and Deathstroke yeah he would lose when it comes to pure skill, but he was no push over. He was skilled enough to go against most and with his items it wasn't even a challenge.
Ken was afraid, in his eyes he wasn't strong enough or skilled enough. If he lost his powers he was afraid he wouldn't be able to get back, he was afraid of being powerless now that he had something to fight for.
And in his defense being thrown around between worlds like some sort of fucked up hot potato can make you feel like that. So even tho he knows they aren't as bad as Ken thinks getting stronger won't hurt.
Bronze Tiger: "So who are you? Some start up looking to make a name for himself by killing me?"
Sozu: "No I'm your new student."
The confusion on his face made him smile, and before Bronze Tiger could say anything he charged.
