Chapter 31 - Trips and Traps

*GENERAL POV*

Cane, Roy and the newly named Conner and Klay grew to be close friends. They played video games and joked around.

Klay was formally Match and Conner was Superboy. Conner had calmed down a lot especially after Klay woke up. Klay had taken a little bit too get used to his strength. Even now he sometimes accidentally breaks a cup or crushes a controller.

He seemed confused more often than not, and grew to rely on Conner, Roy, and Cane. He was afraid to go anywhere near Galatea, not because he was afraid of her as much as he was afraid of accidentally hurting her.

They took to calling Galatea Tea. She seemed to be a happy baby. She was also unnaturally strong but showed no other abilities. She likes to be carried and eats a lot.

At the moment Klay, Conner, Roy, Tea, and Cane were getting ready to go to the Kent's place. The Kent's were good people and no matter what Superman felt they would take care of the kids.

Cane had offered them a place in his team, they both wanted to talk too Superman before they agreed. Tea was going to stay with the Kent's either way.

Roy and the others were going to hunt down his clone and try to capture him. Conner and Klay both agreed to help him no matter what Superman said.

Conner and Klay were both walking back and just generally stressing out about meeting Superman. Klay was wearing blue jeans a white shirt and a black unzipped jacket.

Conner was wearing a plain black shirt and jeans. Both were outside the RV waiting for Cane. They had stopped at a hotel, on their way to Smallville. Roy who had wanted to stay at the hotel but was ultimately convinced (annoyed until he agreed by Cane) to come.

Both Conner's and Klay's attention snapped to the door. Cane walked out wearing kaki cargo shorts, a Hawaiian shirt opened with a pink undershirt, black sandals and white knee-high socks, a tan hat and sunglasses.

Strapped to his chest was Tea wearing a pink onesie with princess stitched in gold on the chest. She also had a small pink hat and hello kitty sunglasses.

With a grin and a thick Russian accent Cane spoke. "Alright conrads, let's go!"

The trip was filled with Klay trying to get Cane to change.

Klay: "Please just change, what if they don't want to meet us because you look like a weirdo? I read a book that says-"

Cane (with a Russian accent): "Please Conrad sit, relax we have good time. Yes."

Groaning Klay turned to Roy who was driving. "Hey, don't look at me. Dudes crazy and I'm pretty sure that it would take Devine intervention to make him change."

Grin broadening Cane chuckled, and when Klay turned back to him a thick black mustache had formed on his face.

Cane: "Yes, sit we have good time."

Slumping in defeat Klay placed his head in his hands and despaired. Meanwhile Conner was in the back listening to music drowning out everything trying to calm his nerves.

*JAYDEN POV *

Well, this is a trap. It probably is meant to be a loyalty test, but I know I'm not gunna go through with it so it's a trap. In a warehouse he had one Dr.Serling Roquette my job was to kill her once she completed her project, Fog.

Several other members of the Shadows were in the area probably monitoring me. I know that clone Roy saves her or at the very least that the Shadows let him take her...but now?

Fuck...he may have to fight his way out. He would contact Ken or anyone else really, but he knows the moment he pulls out his phone the fight will start. He is surrounded, outnumbered and most likely out gunned.

She was about done so he was losing time. No sign of Roy clone, and the other assassins have closed in on him and the good Dr.

Well...hmmmm if I do this juuuust so, I might be able to get her out of here and have a chance to not be dispelled. Moving to where most of my opponents are either in front or to the sides of my I pushed an emergency button on the side of the phone.

Now all he had to do was buy time until the others came. Several people entered the building being as stealthy as possible. Two kunai in hand Jayden arm swung in an ark sending two shuriken flying back at those who threw it.

One made a squelch sound and the other made a metallic ting as it was deflected away. Those two sounds made the warehouse burst into movement and sound.

He had charged at the one that deflected and stabbed him in the neck. As he did so three others dropped behind him and two to either side.

Grabbing the man that he just killed he used him as a meat shield. The body shook as it was riddled with weapons. As he was about to let go a sword pierced the body and almost stabbed into his chest. Pushing the body on top of his attacker he had to duck under another sword swing, as he ducked, he slashed at the assassin's stomach.

As the persons guts fell to the ground Jayden grabbed his sword and deflected two projectiles. He charged at the doctor who had crawled under the desk that she was working at. He threw three Kunai at the three people who were about to stab down through the desk and into her.

All three fell but before I could react a sword slashed my back. Quickly turning back, he smashed his elbow into their face. They staggered back and he took that opportunity to sweep their legs and stomp on their throats. The choking and gasping let him know that he would die soon.

Turning around he was about to chuck his newly acquired sword into another opponent when everyone stopped in their tracks. Killing intent, it froze everyone there which was impressive since it was a room of killers. The only one who could move was Jayden, but he did have a cold sweat.

"One day." The voice was cold and calm. It had no traces of anger...it was hollow. Out of a portal Ronin walked out his steps echoing through the warehouse. His golden eyes seemed to cut through everyone and lock onto Jayden and Dr. Roquette.

With out saying a word he gestured with his head for them to go through the portal. Before the portal closed, they heard Ronin speak one last time. "One fucking day."

*HASHIRAMA'S POV*

Richard Dragon was harder to find than he thought, but he managed to track him down. He was currently in Cuba for whatever reason.

Approaching the man that is sitting on a bench Hashirama put on a smile despite how frustrated he was. "Hello can I ask you for a moment of your time?"

The man looked mildly surprised, but smiled and nodded. "My name is Hashirama and I've come to ask for training."

His casual gaze turned stern and analytical in less than a second. He was looking at everything from posture to my cloths.

Richard: "Why would I want to do that? And more importantly why do you want me to train you?"

Smiling calmly Hashirama looked him in the eye as he spoke. "I have those precious to me that I wish to protect, and those who are lost to me who I wish to find. I lack the strength and skill to help and protect those I care for.

I have nothing to offer." Getting down in a dogeza he finished his sentence with a bit of desperation lacing his voice. "Please...accept me as a student."
