Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

1 year B.C. 5th moon

Brehild POV

It has been 3 moons since the first scout had scene the ships entering the bay, while at first she was worried of what was to come of her clan.

But now she was filled with pride, her people where growing in number, they no longer where starving and desperate for survival and now with the help of her Southern Wolf they would start a new life in a far away land.

She was currently heading down to the new port on the bay, where more ships were landing making there fleet a now 20 galley strong, with these new 10 ships came word of a growing camp in the Southern City known as White Harbour.

Apparantly, Brandon in all his wisdom had sent word to all the kneeler lords of the North with words of his plans, and it has succesfully been spread all over the North and according to what the new sailors told Brandon there was already 300 people around the Harbour with word from lords of more joining and the donations of cattle, horses and spare armors weapons.

Happy with the new information she headed to her hut in search of Brandon, he had taken to taken to teaching her people the Andal language or as the southeners know it the Comon tongue, while many disliked the idea it was a great boon to be able to learn more about there new people and not have much of a language barrier.

Edrick Manderly POV

When his father first informed him of the raven that came from Winterfell 4 moons ago, he figured why not, he was a 4th son so he was set to not inherit anything. The only way he could have a great future was to earn a Knighthood but unlike his family who preffer the new faith he was a follower of the Old Gods.

So once I met the brother of the King, Lord Brandon I was impressed by his inteligent yet tactical ways of persuassion, after only being in White Harbour for a sennight he had already secured provisions and ships for a host of a thousand people.

After witnessing the effort for this vouyage I used my conections in the city and with the help of my father and Brandon, I employed a smith, a bowyer, a stablemaster and 10 camp followers that had some training in healing and crafts.

All these people were getting prepared in White Harbour while I was enjoying the ways of life of HardHome.

Since we arrived arrived, I have taken with helping train the men and women among us. I have also with the help Magnar Brandon as some call him now, have started organizing the village and it's people making a somewhat routine to follow.

Lord Brandon gave me the responsobility of looking over our treausury this would include our foodstuff, our coin and our resources.

With this responsobility he managed to find that they had in there treasury;

*47,000 gold wolves

* A fleet of 20 trading galleys

* 400 Weirwood bows, 600 weirwood spears and 150 Ironwood shields

* 350 heads of cattle

* A ton of seafood (fish, clams, crabs and sea mammals)

*1,500 people of which 800 are being trained for battle

* Over 2 tonnes of iron and gold each

After reading his list he was proud of what they have become in little over 4 moons, he knew that they would be leaving the North around a year or so from now so he would do everything posible to continue helping with the growth of the settlement and prepare for the journey.

Varadol POV

It had been 2 moons since his Clan the Bronzefist had joined the settlement at HardHome, at first like many of his companions he tought that this place would'nt last long, that with the Magnar being from the South they would be an all out fight one day.

To his surprise many were thankful for improvements and teachings brought by Magnar Snow, I myself have learned much about battle with strategies and with better equiment.

One day while sparring with a sailor from the ships I caught the attention of the Magnar and after having a spar with him he chose me to help the Freefolk to fight together. He gave me some fancy title and named me his Captain of the Freemen.

My main tasks was to drill the men in our settlement daily with the help of the southerner teaching and merging our techniques for battle.

While doing so I was proud of what I have helped achieve in such little time and was looking foward for what was to come.
