Chapter 5 - Aurora - - - Edgar's Wife

Aurora - - - Edgar's Wife's perspective.

I left the crowd, as soon as I got the chance. My hair covered my eyes, and the tears in them.

My thoughts were out of my control, I couldn't help but rethink our conversation again and again.

"He for sure has a girl Friend" Ava had said

"I wish it was me" I replied, hiding the fact that I was married to him.

"keep wishing;he is taken" she returned, a smile forming on the side of her lips.

"What do you mean?" I asked her, thinking that there was a rumour circling around. But what I hadn't expected was, that she was engaged to him, Edgar.

How could he? I thought.

The Uber I hired, was here. I got in. I was lost in my thoughts and not aware of my surroundings.

"keep wishing, he is taken"

" What do you mean?"

"He for sure has a girl friend"

"I wish it was me"

"keep wishing his is take-"

Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder, I returned to reality.

I sucked in a breath.

It was the Uber driver, " We have arrived at your destination" he said.

He looked disgusted, probably at the fact that I took too long.

" Oh, so so sorry, I didn't know, I will get going" I said, the words tumbling out rapidly.

I picked up my things, my keys with a blue key chain that read

" To : the first and last thought that strikes my mind

The only soul that I try to find"

I picked up my shining pink purse that Edgar gifted me, my phone, Edgar's phone and rushed towards my apartment.

I tried to stay in the reality, trying to not think anything, especially not my conversation with her.

I pressed the button, for the elevator. My foot moving unconsciously.

I opened my purse, it had couple of dollars with a phone of my ex lover, that I somehow got. I placed my keys in the purse along with both of the phones.

I entered the elevator, pressed the floor number

35

The doors were about to close when a person walked in.

He wore a black mask, and black glasses. His hair covered the top of his forehead. . He was wearing an ash brown suit I noted.

He didn't press a floor number, just stood by my side at a respectful distance.

The elevator started to move, he leaned towards me to say something in my ear.

The elevator door opened, and he left. Leaving me to contemplate what he had just said.

I trudged towards my apartment, exhausted.

Opened the door, went in my room and allowed myself to fall on the bed on my back.

Once I take a bath, I will open my ex's (Tristan's) phone.
