In the snowy land at the crack of dawn, soldiers of the first platoon of the magical nation have began their assault, the commander together with the third squad have gone to wreck further havoc on the great beasts.
The archers were on standby, watching as their fellow fighters battle the Kaijus. The Wizards also stayed put, however, they were preparing for a wide spread attack that should put most of the Titans to rest _ for good.
"Hey! Do you hear that?". An Elven archer said to another Elf.
"Hmm? All l hear is noise from those marauding giants, is anything wrong?". The other Elf said.
"I think there are other people here with us ". The first Elf said.
"You are probably imagining thi..." The second Elf was saying till they suddenly heard loud wails from the Wizards below.
A large arrow can be seen to pin two people together at the same time from the back. They both stayed lifeless on the ground. Seeing this everyone became at alert, their enemies wasn't the Kaijus alone anymore. The formation the Wizards formed had been disorganized.
"We are under attack !!!". One of the fighters yelled. Soon rain of arrows starts to descend on them. Among the Wizards who followed the first platoon was Orpheus, seeing how dire the situation has become, he got out of the formation to protect the fighters.
"Creature summons: The Umbrella weed". He casts.
From the soil, a sprout of a large plant with large pink flower that resembles a dome formed a canopy over most of the people.
"Come under the plant, it will protect you from the arrows". Orpheus yelled.
The arrows fell, most of the fighters were able to escape, some were mortally wounded and some did not make it. Most were wondering who attacked them, well until they began to see dark cloaked people who are few meters away from them.
"The dark magicians, how obvious, we have to retaliate, we can't let them have their way". A goblin said.
Without any hesitation, arrows began to be exchanged between the two sides, the Wizards themselves switched to the offensive.
"What is happening over there". The troll commander said.
"It seems the two squads are under attack".
"What! The scholars are our tickets to winning this war, everyone, retreat! We are backing up the archers and the scholars". He yelled.
Leaving the walled premises, the third squad went to support the ones fighting the dark magicians. However, they didn't go alone, the Kaijus tagged along, they want to destroy those that have come to challenge them.
The commander seeing this, planned to use that to his advantage, he lured the Kaijus over to the dark magicians. This time, the Kaijus don't know who is friend and who is foe, the began to trash anything that stands in their way.
Using this strategy, they would kill two birds with one stone. The favor tipped to the first platoon's side, most of the dark magicians were defeated using their allies, most except two.
The two who instigated the fight to begin with, while they might have evaded death from the Titans, four individuals caught up to them and have them surrounded.
"We have you surrounded, there is no escape for you". An Elf said.
"You really think so?". One of the hooded person said. Unexpectedly, the said person touched the ground, a large magic circle appeared and shimmered, with little time, it blew up in flames.
"Argh!!!". The pursuers yelled, unexpectedly, they were shielded from the flames because of an hologram summon in form of a plant.
The two hooded persons were surprised to see their flame got shielded. They tried to cast a spell, but unknown to them, their hoods have removed.
"Armin!!!". Orpheus said in surprise.
Armin is Orpheus' younger half sibling of whom he lived with in the house of the Turker march. Armin resembles Orpheus alot, the only difference is their hair, with the former having a jet black hair and the latter, red.
Orpheus was surprised to see Armin as a member of the dark magicians, their father was part of group but he didn't expect to see Armin among them.
"How long have you been with the dark magicians, Armin, you and father". Orpheus asked.
"Why should I answer someone from a degenerate era!!! Leave me alone!!!". Armin yelled back.
"With your mastery of destruction which is second to none..." Armin was casting but was interrupted by one of Orpheus summons.
"Are you living in the past, who recites long spells anymore, I'll ask you, why did you join the dark magicians, why!!!". Orpheus asked.
"No reason other than to spite the kingdom who let us fall into dismay, after the magic plague, not only was the house torn apart, all I've worked for fell into the abyss, your kingdom was the cause of the plague ". Armin replied
"What are you saying, Zenobios and father were one of the prime cause of the plague, they sabotaged a project so they could have communication with demons, whoever told you that lied to you ". Orpheus said.
"Whatever, I don't care". Armin said, without any notice, a serpent like organism appeared by his neck and bit him . In few seconds, he began to convulse rapidly, his eyes began to dilate and his body twitch.
The same was happening to the female dwarf that was with him. Both were having seizures. Everyone present there were stunned and didn't know what to do. They watched as they both twitch and stopped moving.
"Did they... Just die".
"Seems a curse was triggered to prevent them from saying or doing something ".
Orpheus was still in shock and was processing what recently transpired, his brother died in front of him just like that. He was visibly shaking and began to weep.
"Armin, though I never liked you, and you didn't liked me either, but I never wanted you like this, we both have the same blood running through our veins after all... Tch".
In his weeping, his eyes began to shimmer red, wind began to swirl around him, he clenched hard his fists and teeth.
"Zenobios, you deceived my brother, led him astray then killed him... You'll pay for this ".
