Chapter 127 - Who hid Igor's powers?

Still riding on the dragon's back, Tony and Jarnathan listened as Iode tells his story.

"I don't know how long I had the seizure but I was told that I went unconscious for two days straight, and this stigma appeared on my left wrist. We believed, or rather my parents told me it was a birthmark albeit they knew it wasn't"

"Five years after the incident, a strange man came to my dad's armory store, he saw my my wrist mark and explicitly told me and my dad that it was a stigma and I should hide it and unless it's an emergency, I should show any guild, they'll listen to me "

"I later found out that that stranger was actually Igor's clone who goes out once in a while to know the current affairs of things ".

"So what you are saying is that, Igor shouldn't have had a successor to begin with ". Jarnathan said.

"Maybe, Igor sometimes acts on his own accord, he probably kept that chest there so that no one would be able to reach it". Iode replied.

"I don't think that was Igor's doing ". Tony said.

"You don't? What makes you say that?". Iode asked.

"While I wasn't there to witness it, they'd tell me about keeping part of their souls and powers for future generations, so they could stop the catastrophe that would ensue in the nearest future..."

"Igor specifically told me about a future invasion and he would love to deter it ". Tony said.

"So you are saying, someone hid Igor's powers? But who?". Iode pondered.

"Who knows ".

"..."

"Oh, I think I know where we can get the answer from, from Igor's magic book... That book records the deeds of it owners and their powers".

"When he created the book, he poured some of his soul and essence to it, and so did the other four too when they created theirs". Tony said.

"Whoa, they really scattered their souls around huh... Now that you mentioned it, I think now is the perfect time to continue reading it ". Iode said.

He brought his hand forward and the stigma in his left wrist shimmered purple light, particles of light came out and scattered, but they began to assemble and fuse together to form a thick covered Grimoire that appeared on his hands

Jarnathan became mesmerized, he smiled then he said:

"With all these peck's you have, you still want to let go of the power?". Jarnathan asked.

"Of course, still it doesn't mean I shouldn't take advantage of it while I have it ". Iode replied.

"Now, let's continue where we stopped ". The Grimoire opened itself to the exact page he stopped last time.

"Now I see why you seem to have a mind of your own "

*. *. *.

In the dark night of the sky, under the bright light of the full moon in the horizon, five individuals plus a young dragon faced their backs at each other and looks directly at their opponents.

"Seems the day of reckoning has arrived father". Orpheus said with gritting teeth.

"Indeed, I've watched you rant about for too long, you've overstayed your usefulness... though I wouldn't say I'm not surprised you signed a pact with a devil, but it won't stop you from dieing". Marquis Gizbert said

*Chuckles*

"Hehehe, if you don't know, I sold my soul just to see your end..."

"For the mischief you've caused to me, my mother, and the fairies of Fiilar !!! I shall slay you!!!". Orpheus said angrily.

"Very well, let's see what you got ". Marquess Gizbert said. His eyes had a spark of red glow. He brought his hand up and a ball of red fire began to burn. The fire grew bigger with each passing seconds, it grew large, so large, Marquess Gizbert held it with his two hands

Then, he hurled it towards the group. Orpheus grits his teeth and said:

"Flame thrower!!".

From the ground, a large plant like organism sprouts, it had five large petals from its stem, all of which move independently. As the flame approaches, one of flower petals of the plant rose up and hits away the flame far away.

"Is that the best you can do father because you are making this a little bit too easy". Orpheus grits.

"Huhuhu, very well, Orpheus, shall we truly begin? ". Marquess Gizbert hysterically said.
