Chapter 30 - Inheritor of Igor

Iode left his roommates, now his friends, to see Prof Pandavatton. As he reached the corridor outside the class, he was double crossed by a girl wearing Pink rope and witches hat, whose name is Anna de Regalis.

She was quite a beauty with a clear blue eyes, narrow eyebrows and blonde hair. Iode kept staring at the maiden in front of him, but he soon snapped out of it when the girl asked him a question.

"You are Iode right"? Anna asked.

"Huh, yes I'm Iode". Iode replied.

"What is your relationship with Prof Pandavatton". Anna questioned again.

"My relationship with Prof Pandavatton? What more than a teacher-student relationship". Iode replied.

"Why are you asking anyways, he called me not you". Iode questioned in return.

"Mind your business, hmph". Anna said as she walked away.

'Mind my business? You clearly snooped into my business and you are telling me to mind my business, what kind of girl is she'? Iode wanted to lash out.

'Is that what girls usually do? Well my younger sisters like to snoop around other peoples matter and gossip about them, maybe that's her category, News Carrier'. Iode kept thinking and didn't realize he was already in front of Prof Pandavatton's office.

He knocked the door twice and opened the door.

"Hmm, sir, I'm here as requested". Iode said.

A man in his late forties, sitting on a chair in a large office room, filled with shelves of books and painted blue in color.

With his pristine blue eyes, and long jet black hair, he faced up to Iode and smiled

"It nice to see you again kid". Prof Pandavatton said.

Iode smiled, he can't forget that orange rope he wore that day and of course he still wearing it.

"It also a pleasure to see you too sir". Iode replied with red cheeks.

"How has the academy been so far" Prof Pandavatton asked.

"Well, we've spent just a day here and it's pretty okay i guess". Iode replied.

"Well it going to get really rough soon, oh captain Jacob told me you are still a one star mage, how in the world were you able to pass the assessments". Prof Pandavatton said.

"Sigh, i had to fail four times before passing this year, and I've been trying to have a breakthrough for years, all my effort went avail, i literally don't know what to do anymore". Iode replied sadly.

"Hmm we'll see what we can do about that, probably your body is finding it difficult to absorb mana through the breathing technique, we'll try the magic circle technique". Prof Pandavatton said.

"Really! But I'm not from a noble household, you said it yourself in class, it a bit pricey, i can't afford it". Iode replied.

"Don't worry kid, I'll cover that, and if it doesn't work, we'll try the Stickman technique of breaking your body and rebuilding it, through rigorous training and exercise". Prof Pandavatton said.

Iode gulped hearing this.

"Come visit me at least once a week, weekend would be better and in the night, because I wouldn't want students saying I'm giving you a preferential treatment thereby doing you harm than any good". Prof Pandavatton said.

Iode understood what the professor mean. If students keep seeing him going to the professors office too often, the nobles among the students would want to know more about him and could be detrimental to him.

Prof Pandavatton then asked iode to leave whenever he wished. Iode thanked Prof Pandavatton before leaving, but Prof Pandavatton has a reason to ask Iode to regularly come to him, not because of his star level, but because captain Jacob told him about the mark on his wrist and the purple aura swirling around him.

Prof Pandavatton remained seated, he interlocked his fingers and placed his chin on them and said

"I'm glad to see the inheritor and successor of Igor's powers in my lifetime".
