"I think Wald has been corrupt and given the power to unleash the seven deadly sins... Earlier, when Wald released the Fourth Sin, it was a massive attack that guts victims. It also bears the name of Satan, Prince of Wrath."
"As for the First Sin, the one you've mentioned... Belphegor is the Prince of Sloth, so it would make sense that the Miasma cloud slows everything it touches. That's my current theory, but I can't truly confirm it."
"I'll still go along with that theory... Anything that can give us an inch to defeat Wald now..." said Phanm as he rushed towards his friend.
"Oi! Don't engage until we've got a plan!" yelled Raiyen, his words falling onto deaf ears.
"Why does no one listen to me..."
The Time Mage let out an exasperated sigh and glitched back into battle. Phanm was busy dodging the black cloud surrounding Wald while Raiyen tried to find something he could use to attack. If only he had been better equipped for long-ranged fights.
With Phanm's only sniper rifle gone, the two found themselves at a disadvantage as Wald was surrounded by the Corruption cloud, which can Corrupt anything it touches. Phanm ensured not to get near it, but it wasn't proving easy.
Raiyen cursed as he had no choice but to rely on his other Elements, using more Elemental Energy. He then stopped his advance and shot his palm upwards, drawing green, blue, and purple Elemental Energy into his hand.
"Time! Electric! Nature! These are the elements I wield, I command. Come forth, bind yourselves, and become one. Voltaic Creation Era!" chanted Raiyen as he moved his hand forward and aimed the spell at Wald.
As Wald turned to deal with Raiyen, Phanm saw the opportunity to strike as he pulled out his twin daggers and jumped up to dive at the enemy. However, Phanm found himself flung back by Wald's kick before he could reach him, which surprised the Time Mage.
"He may have been Corrupted and seemingly lost all his sanity, but he isn't killing Phanm... As if it was another training match... But, how would he fare against me?" whispered Raiyen as he unleashed the spell, engulfing Wald with a beam of green, purple, and blue light.
A massive explosion occurred, causing the grounds to shake and debris to fly everywhere around the transformed Pyromancer. Much to Phanm's and Raiyen's horror, Wald was unscathed as he merely raised his axe and brought it down, dispersing the dust cloud.
"Of course, it wouldn't work..." said the Time Mage as he glitched away from the attacker, seeing that Wald was about to unleash another attack.
"Fifth Sin; Nightmare Tidefall, Leviathan's Oblation!" yelled the purple flame head.
Wald crouched down and sprinted towards Raiyen, zig-zagging and unleashing slashes from all directions as he chased the Time Mage through the battlefield. His axe was covered with black and purple Elemental Energy with a hint of blue as it clashed with Raiyen's daggers.
The Prince of the Arks soon discovered that with Wald's current state, the third-rate Mage could keep up with his glitch. However, Wald paid the price by losing his flame powers forever. Raiyen cursed again as the attacks wore his blades down.
"Sorry, Tomoe, but I'm going to use you again. Fourth Sun!" yelled Raiyen as he tossed his twin daggers and pulled out Tomoe's fans again.
"Scorching bones, flare up!" shouted Raiyen as he swung the fans in a spiral motion, unleashing flames to counter Wald's attacks.
The purple flame seemed to understand that those flames were not normal and backed off, but not before ducking down and attempting to slash Raiyen's lower body. The Time Mage wasn't as agile as his Familiar so he could stop the spell nor move from his position.
Raiyen jolted as he felt someone grabbing him by the collar and pulling him onto the ground while also hearing gunshots. Though Wald didn't outright stab him, the commander was still suffering from injuries as Wald's kick had been enough to shatter some ribs.
Even the armor woven using Tomoe's fur was not enough to mitigate the damage made by Wald's kick, indicating that he wasn't a normal Mage anymore... Phanm cursed and saved Raiyen as he steadied himself and shot at Wald's feet, forcing him to leap away.
"Damn it... Wake up already, you flame head! What the hell are you doing in there?!" yelled Phanm as he clutched onto his side.
"What's wrong?" asked Raiyen, getting up.
"Never mind about me. I'm praying that you've got some idea on defeating him because the ruckus we made has woken up some unwanted guests," said Phanm, pointing at the horde behind Wald.
As Raiyen tried to protest about Phanm's state, an unfamiliar roar rang out, followed by a minor earthquake.
