Unfortunately, the body had been pulverized by the might of the Last Dragon's roar, not even leaving any trace of the person.
"Hmph... So much for that boastful talk," complained the winged warrior as she shifted her focus back to dealing with the Beast.
"I think that's the Valkyrie, and that was Horizon..." noted Wald as he helped Phanm back to his feet.
"I know that the flying thing was Mavislin," replied Raiyen, glitching to the two males.
"Well, we aren't going to stand around to look pretty; we've got to support her!" noted Wald, as he spun his axe with ease and pointed his axe towards the horde of Husks.
Despite the earlier attacks, the Husks were still prominent in numbers, with the end nowhere in sight. Before he could shoot out another spell, Raiyen grabbed hold of Wald's axe.
"Throwing out this many sins in one battle is bound to deplete your Elemental Energy. You must learn to regulate your intake and switch between your Original Spell and normal attacks."
"You may have kept your sanity, but overusing the Corruption Element will slowly chip away at your sanity. Trust me on this and use your normal attacks for now," said the Time Mage, getting out his twin daggers.
Wald nodded in agreement and forced his spell to stop. Before they could move up, Phanm realized that the Last Dragon knew they existed and aimed for them. He then sprinted toward his best friend and the Time Mage.
"We've got to move out now! Unless you both want to be pulverized by those two fightings," yelled Phanm, grabbing both of them to dodge an attack.
"So now what? Do we fight with the winged Gladiator, or do we fight off the mini things here?" asked Phanm, shooting some bullets at a few Husks.
The man cursed as he used up the last of his bullets and wanted to throw his gun at the Husks but was halted by Raiyen. The Time Mage grasped the gun's barrel, and the weapon glowed blue.
"Here, some Magecraft for you to use. Think of it as bullets charged with Electric, with an unlimited supply. It'll use up my power but not too much that I would get affected," explained Raiyen.
"Electric?" quizzed the confused human.
"Ah yes, I have forgotten you aren't from the future. Treat it like mini lightning bolt bullets. Off you go and clear the Husks as much as you can. Remember that you can't touch them," explained Raiyen, pushing Phanm.
The Valkyrie and the Last Dragon forced themselves into the arena as the two continued to fight against each other. The two beasts were fighting tooth and nail without caring for the ones around them, shaking the ground beneath them with every clash.
Claw to claw, wing to wing. Clashes of red and yellow sparks appeared through the ashen skies, indicating Valkyrie's and Dragon's might. The Beast had been fully unleashed in size and power, towering over the battlefield and stomping on any Husks or debris.
Mavislin had already breached protocol by having her talons and wings out to fight the Dragon, but it wasn't enough to overpower her enemy. The next step was to go into her proper form, which both the Arks and Council seniors forbade.
Meanwhile, the Last Dragon was breathing red flames and trying to catch the mobile Valkyrie. However, Mavislin was barely making any progress, as whenever she landed a wound, the Last Dragon's tough scarlet scales healed it instantly.
The two creatures were evenly matched, leading to an endless battle without a clear winner. It has become a waiting game for who will die from exhaustion first. Mavislin was slightly ticked off at the situation and instantly gathered some more Light Elemental Energy.
The Last Dragon also tried to answer the Valkyrie by gathering Crimson Flamed Elemental Energy from the area. Element of Dragon is a type of flame that cannot be healed usually nor put out by regular means...
If Mavislin's attack fails to mitigate it, she will end up like that poor body she tossed from the sky earlier. The Valkyrie closed her eyes and concentrated.
The top trio of the Arks had their attention on the duo, hoping that the young girl they had raised those years ago was worth it.
Ysabeau smiled as she saw Mavislin mixing in both her Light Elemental Energy with her Alter Energy, the ones present in both Monody and Threnody.
"In all my years across the many planets of the Universe... I've never seen a Light Mage mix her powers with Darkness and not go mad or boom," noted the Headmaster.
"That isn't any old Dark Element... It's something that only she can wield. Even if Raiyen were to pull the same Element using Time Ripper, it would be fragile," explained Baldwin.
