"Are you fine up there?!" asked Raiyen.
"I'm just surprised that you would sit by me and watch me die. Either you are very strict with your missions and ensure that your opponent is fully dead before moving on, or you have some twisted habit of watching beings die..." answered Milam in a hoarse voice.
"Is there an option of just paying respect to a formidable opponent? I'm showing you kindness by staying back to accompany you. No one should die alone."
"And yet this poor girl that I inhabit had perished without anyone realizing until a week later. To answer your earlier question, I am a Dragon... More specifically, I am that Dragon they captured way back in the day."
"The soul that belongs to this girl's vessel has long gone. And they wanted to know if a Dragon could survive in a Pyro's body... Thus-"
"You were planted into the body of the dead girl. That's why you have such Dragon-like features... And you aren't the descendant of Nidhogg... You ARE Nidhogg," stated Raiyen as he widened his eyes while inching away from the dying being.
"Yes... But I am no longer as powerful as before, as they've destroyed half of my Elemental Core to fit into this body and merge with her dead Elemental Core..." replied the dying opponent, whose voice was still shifting from Milam's to a deep, gruff voice of a man.
Milam's legs had already dissipated, and all that was left was her upper body and arms. She then reached out to Raiyen as if trying to grasp his hand. The Time Mage regretted being cold-hearted and not digging deeper into the Tribe's business...
"Wald, right? He is the true Hybrid of the Tribe... But his Dragon Element is dormant in him. His ancestor was Fafnir, another Dragon who was slain during the early days of the conflict. But since I don't follow his bloodline, I'm unsure if the power has been mixed up..."
"But if you could do me a favor... I'd like you to help me apologize to that kid. I was-"
"Only kicking him out so he wouldn't suffer the same fate as you did, right? I get that... I understand, and I will pass on your dying message..."
Nidhogg smiled as he fully crumbled away. However, as Raiyen stood up, the ashes of the fallen enemy rushed upwards and formed a beautiful sight of shimmering icy dust, creating a huge Dragon in the night sky. The Time Mage smiled as he gazed up at Nidhogg.
"For showing mercy and hearing my dying wish and words... And for releasing me from the child, I have decided to help you defeat the Husks. Feast your eyes upon the wrath of my being!" bellowed Nidhogg as the icy mirage turned to the oncoming horde.
The Time Mage grinned and quickly glitched away to the nearby cliffside, where he could see the next event occur. The area was black with some dying flames around but as the Husks moved closer, it was clear that Raiyen couldn't have killed them all in time.
"I am Nidhogg! The Curse Striker of Malice! Dweller of the Darkest and Coldest place of the Nine Worlds... I hereby unleash my rent-up wrath!" shouted Nidhogg.
Nidhogg then looked upwards and roared, shaking the entire area before facing the Husks and unleashing a massive wave of icy fire onto the Corrupted creatures. After the spell was done, Raiyen rushed back to the arena, to find that all the Husks were now frozen.
The Time Boy glitched about in glee as he finally witnessed what a true Dragon could do and how his simple actions of showing mercy helped him in the end. He glanced up to see the ancient Dragon smiling and soared towards the clouds to vanish into the Upper Skies.
"Thank you... You may finally rest now, ancient Dragon. Now then, let's clean this battlefield up!" said Raiyen as he pulled out his Ancient Relic.
"Activate now, Time Ripper!"
The Time Mage sliced the air before him with his Ancient Relic, opening the Void, which surpasses all of Time and Space. Raiyen then confidently shoved his arm into the tear and drew an ornate sword from the Arthurian legends.
"This should be a great way to destroy so many statues simultaneously."
The silver and red blade was also quite heavy for the scrawny Mage. But after some adjustment, rain used both hands and raised the sword high above his head, engulfing the blade in red Elemental Energy.
"Behold, the sword that fought in the battle of Camlann. The weapon which brought the King Arthur of legends to his knees. The brutal betrayal of a father to his kid..."
"Final Weapon On The Camlann Hill!" shouted Raiyen as he brought down the blade to destroy the area.
