"Shut up! How do you even know about this?! And that kid should have no business with you!" roared Milam, breathing heavily.
"I don't... I went back in Time to see what transpired when Wald was kicked out that night. I knew the Pyromancers were doing shady things, but I did not expect you to be merciless. After all, you were just a kid yourself. Or are you... Milliamaria Dominus Rosenberg?"
Milam shivered as she heard Raiyen speak her full name out loud.
"How can you know my true name?" asked Milam.
"I was the one who trained you... I understand that you were using your simplified name, but I am a Time Mage, first and foremost, if you haven't got the hint. Plus, I am the leader of the Intelligent Task Force of the Arks, so nothing slips out of my fingers," explained Raiyen.
"Hmph, it doesn't matter what you know of me... All I care is to rid you of this world!" shouted Milam, readying her attack.
"No one left from your generation to fight with you, right? What a sad and lost child..."
Raiyen acted the same as he opened the two metal fans, holding one up and the other downwards.
When Tomoe wields the fans, he doesn't need the incantation but does require the call-out since he was the creator of the weapons. However, things are different for Raiyen as Tomoe is not created by him. Thus, Wald felt his bones shiver as he sensed the fans activate.
"What's wrong?" asked Phanm as they neared the area.
"Looks like Tomoe is gone, but someone is using his fans... I can sense it, and I don't like it," complained Wald, with his flame flickering.
"It's not as if he is aiming at you... Why are you so worried?" asked Phanm as he loaded his sniper rifle.
"Because I can't feel Tomoe's Elemental Aura or Energy anymore. So whoever is using his fans, I pray to whatever god is there that those fans are in good hands..."
As the duo continued to get close to the Tribe Camp of their area, Mavislin paused as she recovered from using Threnody and could feel the missing presence of the demon fox. However, the Valkyrie merely smiled as she felt Raiyen's power spike.
"It has been so long since Tomoe returned to his true form... Looks like whatever opponents they are battling are far superior and mightier than the trash I'm dealing with..." grumbled Mavislin as she got ready for the next attack.
"Dweller of the Misty Land of Snow And Ice... O' Serpent, with ambitions to pull back the cosmos with your brethren, devour the life tree! Let your animosity grow, for you know no bounds! Your power has no limits!" shouted Milam as greyish flames swarmed her form.
"Feast thine eyes upon this glory... Let the cursed flames engulf these fans... Tales of old, fan the fire! Harbinger of misfortune, cry out!" chanted the Time Mage as he threw up both fans, which joined together to create an enormous fan of the same design.
"Nidhogg's Faith..."
"Akuma's Flare..."
"Roaring Frenzy!"
"Gluttonous Rage!"
Milam unleashed a massive icy-flamed tornado from her mouth, which barrelled towards the Time Mage in remarkable size and speed. Raiyen wondered how she could pull off that spell when she had such a small stature because that move could quickly destroy mountains.
But the Prince of the Arks wasn't too worried about that move as he flicked his fan-wielding hand downwards, creating a strong gust of wind that dispelled a quarter of his enemy's attack. As the tornado reached the fan, blue, grey, and red sparks flew about.
"Not bad... But I think I can enhance this by a few ranks..." murmured Raiyen as he grinned.
The Time Mage closed his eyes and channeled his Elemental Energy into the fan, causing it to grow. With one last push, Raiyen flicked the fan upwards, causing the tornado to skyrocket. He then covered his face with the fan and tapped on it.
The white butterflies imprinted on the fan burst into life and fluttered out of the fan, soaring and surrounding the tornado within the skies. Milam was helpless; it was the first time she witnessed such a spell.
As the butterflies had their fill and there was no trace of Milam's spell, they returned to the fan while Raiyen opened his eyes to Milam, revealing his left eye to be violet. He then noticed that his hair was also going slightly white at the ends.
Gillian did warn the kid about merging powers with Tomoe, but Raiyen didn't seem to mind. However, he did recall Ysabeau stating that she should do it excessively. Like the battle against Wald, the white butterflies were now greyish blue with pink outlines.
