"Correct. And because of that main problem, the Corruption Element would force itself to multiply as if it had the Elemental Energy supply of a Valkyrie. However, using this theory... I might have an idea, though it may sound off."
"I'd take anything at this point. So, what are you suggesting?" questioned Mavislin, with a tiny glint of hope in her eyes.
"What happens if there are two containers instead?"
Baldwin looked even more lost while Mavislin was shocked.
"Listen; if I break it down, a pure Mage without them having any human attributes is just alive because of their Elemental Core. The Corruption Element attacks the Core, changing the initial Element to turn into Corrupted Ones."
"So what if I had another Core instead, or I expanded the initial Core?" suggested the Headmaster.
"You want to introduce another Core into the poor flame head? I don't think it would be such a great idea-"
"Midori and Duncan. They have spirits in them and can coexist without any issues. And if their spirits leave them, the twins will die because their Cores are human and can't handle the immense power they have," added Mavislin, looking at Gillian's summoning circle.
"But we're talking about a Pure Mage... Who knows what would happen if we shove another being into that poor guy?!" exclaimed the Angry Man, unable to accept the suggestion.
"Then we must find a Core that can merge with a Pyromancer's Core..."
The Valkyrie froze before looking at the Headmaster.
"The Dragon would be a perfect match... The Element it guards should not be an issue and would act as a second Core..."
"It doesn't work like that. Because the Dragon is still alive, the Core would be filled. You need an empty Core. A dead Dragon," said Gillian, bluntly.
The Valkyrie looked conflicted... She would have to kill the last being of its kind for another to be saved. And it might not even work since the Corruption Element can be unpredictable. And if Wald's Core isn't stable enough, the whole plan would be useless.
If something were so simple, it would've been done long ago. There's a reason why the Husks were so devastating to deal with. The Valkyrie shook her head and glanced at the Mages.
"We'll figure this out soon enough. For now, I've got both the Husks and Tribe to destroy. I'll come back as soon as I can," said Mavislin as she unfolded her wings and flew out of the Old Chapel.
The Valkyrie soared through the ashen and red skies, reminiscing the night back in Valokia. Her eyes were fixated on the village's ruins and finding if there were any signs of life, but to no avail. She then sighed and headed straight for the Tribe Camp of the Campania.
Mavislin found the Camp quickly and was hovering above all the Pyromancers, emanating a menacing Aura. She then stretched out her arm and opened her palm. Drawing whatever lingering Elemental Energy she could use, Mavislin looked like a golden angel.
"Heaven's Wheel; Encage!" cried out the Empress's daughter as golden pillars of Light Elemental Energy appeared around the Camp from midair.
With another flick of her hand, Mavislin sent the pillars down, slamming the ground while ribbons of gold danced between them. The Valkyrie could see the panic and chaos ensuing as the Pyromancers ran around, trying to escape the area.
She remained unfeeling as she witnessed the Pyros touching the ribbons, only to be absorbed into her being. They then backed away in fear and fell to their knees in despair. Usually, Mavislin didn't like consuming lives but in this case, she saw a feast.
The Tribe were no longer seen as beings to save the instant they took innocent lives. Usually, Mavislin gets her power from absorbing the positivity from beings around her. The more happy and hopeful, the stronger she gets.
However, consuming Cores is a different matter. A Core of a Mage also acts as their memories. And Valkyries' main supply is the memories of being positive. Thus, a single Core would be equivalent to having about a village's worth of positivity in one Tock.
By having Heaven's Wheel, the Valkyrie converts all the beings within to nourishment. And it's been half a year since she had eaten, so the poor Valkyrie was starving. Like the Corruption Element, the girl smiled as she realized how merciless she could be.
Maybe there's a reason why they were twins. Mavislin then tossed the shield Old Man Pond gave her into the middle of the Camp. She trapped the Tribe within the Heaven's Wheel Cage as the ribbons turned into horizontal bars.
"Awaken... O' Serpent of Eternal Cycle! Coil your body and surround yourself with those I have chosen..." chanted the Valkyrie as the shield morphed into a giant serpent.
