"Wait, the Tribe got revenge by decimating the Northern tip of the Campania? Killing all those civilians… So that they could get back at the Syndicate?!" exclaimed Mavislin as she slammed her fists on the table.
"The Syndicate should be preparing for another retaliation, or they might surrender for a while. I can't say for sure this time… I also think that the Tribe has overreacted with how things turned out," said Ysabeau, offering her point.
"That doesn't matter; the Campania is the home ground of the Five Kings and my first home. I won't allow anyone to destroy it just like that. And because of this little conflict, the dragon has been stirred from its sleep."
"It won't be long before it fully awakens and the Tribe gets a new pet. If we allow it to be unleashed, the Campania will fall," explained Mavislin as her Elemental Aura flared up.
"Even the mighty Valkyries know the wrath of the dragons? I thought nothing could shake you lot," asked Gillian, tilting his head in curiosity.
"I fear you Akhatenians as well. Not to mention what devastation can be brought upon this world if an angry pregnant Bahamut can't find the perfect spot to sleep. Every being is strong in their way, and we are talking about the casualties being humans."
"Anything that isn't human is already horror-worthy. So yes, I can be worried about what a single dragon can do the humans," elaborated Mavislin, shutting off the pages.
Gillian sighed and nodded his head at the ladies.
"Alright, since this isn't concerning too many factions, I'll allow you to be part of this… Are you bringing one of the recruits to this mission?" questioned Gillian as he looked at the map on the table.
"I will be bringing both Circe and Tomoe to this mission and working closely with the new King. Provided Raiyen allows me to steal Tomoe and that Angry Man has found the new King."
"Why Circe?" asked the Headmaster, tilting his side to the side.
"She would be the perfect disciple to harness the Dragon's Element to its full potential once we have it," replied Mavislin with an uplifting smile.
"Good luck with that; I hear Raiyen is still very jealous of Tomoe being around you," warned Ysabeau.
"Not to worry, I have my ways to tame my two boys…"
Before Mavislin could continue her sentence, the door swung open to reveal Circe and Tomoe falling into the room as if they had been eavesdropping the whole time.
Mavislin sighed as she picked up Circe and placed her on a chair, leaving Tomoe on the floor.
"You know it's bad to hear the grownups' conversation, right? Anyways, what are you two doing here?" asked the Valkyrie.
"Baldwin told me about a secret Fire Element that a dragon kept in the Eastern Forest. And he said that you knew about it…" murmured Circe, twiddling her thumbs.
"And your excuse, fox demon?" asked Mavislin, annoyed that Baldwin would lie to a kid.
Then again, it wasn't too far from the truth. Anyone who gets the memoir from the dragon gets the Element of the Dragon, a Lost Element. It was like finding diamonds for humans.
"I'm here because there's a human here to see you… Well, more of, fight you…" said Tomoe as he pointed towards the window.
The Valkyrie made a beeline to the area, but before she could even see, the glass shattered, and a gunshot rang throughout the place.
"Looks like the new guy is going to be an interesting fellow. I've never met any human who dares to shoot us first. Or me, for that matter," smiled Mavislin as she dived out of the window and plummeted to the grassy plains below to meet her foe.
The Valkyrie didn't bother to unleash her wings for this fight as she landed on her feet. The person who attacked was… Another stickman again. Mavislin cursed at herself… Why must all the ones from the Campania be stickmen?!
First Ashley, then Minwoo… Now this… twig? Mavislin groaned as the person put away his sniper rifle and drew out two silver daggers.
"Now that's a refreshing look… It's been years ever since I've seen a human that wielded twin daggers… I wonder how you would fair against my blade," smirked the Valkyrie as she threw her hand into the sky.
A plethora of golden Elemental Streams converged towards Mavislin's opened palm. The human sensed something was going to happen and instantly pounced, only to be blown back from the shockwave of the new weapon in the Valkyrie's hand.
"You know you can never match up to me, right? You and I are worlds apart. So why bother starting the fight?" asked Mavislin as she gripped her new sword.
