Chapter 5 - Meeting the Greek Gods Part 1

"Lord Yi, there is a town below, do you wish to visit it?" Narberal Gamma, one of the Battle Maids of Nazarick, spoke as she controlled the carriage pulled by three level 80 Draconic Horses. These horses trampled the clouds beneath themselves, as they came to a halt.

These Draconic Horses are half dragons and half horses. They had the appearance of a large horse with two curved draconic horns on their heads and yellow reptilian-like eyes. Black scales instead of fur, that reflects light.

The carriage was a small 20 meter long and 3 meters tall carriage created fully from gold. The carriage looks like a miniature palace, with an oval top. The sides had cravings of dragons, phoenixes, and many sacred creatures. The windows were covered by red curtains that had pictures of ocean waves.

Opening the curtains of the carriage, Chu Yi looked down through the clouds at the town in wonder. He and Momonga had been curious about what the inhabitants of this world would be, would they be humans or something else? Along with this curiosity comes fear, what if even the weakest of the beings are level 100, what then?

It's been more than a month before Chu Yi and Momonga realize that without leaving the Great Tomb of Nazarick, they will be sitting ducks with limited amounts of information, so Chu Yi decided to leave and see this world for what it really was.

Chu Yi had thought about this for a while before choosing himself to leave. First, he was the most powerful being in Nazarick and the most readily available person. Second, the NPCs' views are not exactly the same as players like Momonga, they had deeply rooted prejudice against outsiders, even without meeting them. Third and finally, he was bored staying either inside Nazarick or the Expanse. To be showered in praise and to be welcomed by reverence gets old and stifling after a while, thankfully he had Momonga to vent to but even that gets boring.

As for the operation of Eternal Expanse? Chu Yi gave Momonga control of it, allowing him to witness the legendary Guild within a Guild. However, Chu Yi warned Momonga that the Eternal Expanse must not be opened. He wanted the Guilds to function separately until he found a way to allow the two to complement each other. Both Guilds had weaknesses but if he could eliminate them by using the others' advantage, the two would benefit.

Chu Yi noticed that all the creatures he was seeing were humans, whether they be old or young. Chu Yi felt like he had traveled back to the ancient times of the western world as he looked at their facial features, hair and eyes of many prominent colors.

Chu Yi's eyes narrowed as he looked outside of the town, he saw a man who looked normal by every standard of the word, but Chu Yi eyes saw a faint shadow hovering over his body. 'From my eyes, he seems to be using some kind of disguise to blend in amongst the humans. I need to know the strength of this world, and his purpose, so I will test him.' "I will visit this town, Naberal."

"Yes, Lord Yi." Urging the horses to descend, Nabarel guided them towards the entrance of the town, where the humans were already kneeling in fear. Touching down, the horses began to walk towards the town with heads held high in pride.

These Draconic Horses were not simply beasts but powerful creatures with high intelligence, rivaling even the smartest humans but that doesn't mean they are absent of pride.

Opening the curtains, he saw the humans but he really didn't feel anything, not even pride in the fact they were kneeling to him.

More creatures had kneel to him in the Expanse but it was not out of fear but reverence, even then he felt nothing like it was to be expected. Heaven's Blazer was a ruler, a Creator, so it makes sense to feel above weak creatures.

"Naberal, I permit you to capture that mortal, i need to know what he is hiding as well as test his strength, he should be the strongest here." Chu Yi closed the curtain and bagan to write down some information into a notebook.

The location, what kind of creatures are there, threat level, geography of the area etc, everything he had seen he wrote down, so when he returned he and Momonga could decide on the next course of actions.

"It shall be done, Lord Yi." Naberal bow, before teleporting into the skies, looking for the strongest mortal in the town. Naberal easily found him, since his presence stood out like a bonfire amongst candlelight, even if he tried to hide it.

Unaware of what was going on, a man wearing a black cloak sneak into the town, looking for easy prey, he stopped moving as his hair stood on end, as if death was looking at him. Before he could turn to the source, he briefly saw a blue flash, before everything turned black.

Naberal look baffled at the outcome, wasn't they supposed to exchange attacks? Even if they were weak, as they weren't creations of the Supreme Beings, this was too weak. Shaking her head, she put away her golden staff plated in silver into her inventory, before reporting back to her Lord, "Lord Yi, the opponent was too weak, he died from a low tier spell, please forgive me." She felt very awkward, she was following orders but she still failed, but was it her fault that the opponent was too weak?

"Naberal it's okay, you have accomplished your mission, it's not your fault that the enemy was too weak, next time, use your lowest tier magic before increasing your strength. Move on to the next town, I still need to send a report to Momonga." Chu Yi signed slightly, at least this proves that the current possibility of a great number of beings being at level 100 is very low. However, until he could confirm this, he must be cautious.

"Yes, Lord Yi." Naberal mounted the carriage again and urged the horses to move. The horses stomp on the ground, causing the ground to quiver a little, before threading through the skies, trampling the clouds and the heavens in their wake.

The ride was long and boring, but eventually they stopped once more above a town that was covered in clouds. Even with the gaze of an Eternal Bright Lord it was slightly difficult to look through it, but it was understandable since he was in his sealed form, if he unseal himself, this town, along with the clouds would evaporate.

Just as before this town was filled with humans, with no obvious signs of any other creature. As he looked around, Chu Yi spotted an old man walking around with a walking stick. This old man also had a shadow hovering above him, but instead of black it was gold and bright. Just looking at the old man, he felt a slight threat, a little weaker than from Rubedo, but a threat nonetheless.

The old man stopped and looked above the clouds with a slight frown before vanishing with a bolt of lightning, appearing before the carriage with a different form and presence, "Which god is this? I don't sense the presence of Olympus on you."

"How dare you speak this way before a Supreme Being! Know where you place filth!" Naberal stood up from her position, summoning her staff. Her aura was frightening, which would cause many to quiver in her presence, but the man didn't even frown.

"Naberal, calm down, he means no disrespect." Chu Yi signed inside, it seems no matter where the NPC are from, they act in a similar manner. They cannot tolerate any disrespect towards their Creator or superior.

Naberal shivered and bowed, "Lord Yi, forgive me for my outburst, this subordinate will reflect on this." How stupid can she be? She failed two times in a row but how could she allow a human, a lower life form, to speak in such a tone in the presence of a Supreme Being, the summit of all beings?

The man ignores Naberal for the most part but he still absorbs some information, 'Supreme Being? Lord Yi? Narberal? I have no information about this faction, I must be wary of their purpose, I can sense that Lord Yi is very powerful, more so than this lesser god.'

Stepping outside the carriage, Chu Yi's imperial robes fluttered in the wind, and his golden eyes looked at the man before focusing on Naberal, while thinking, 'She had exposed some of our information but it's not too important, she is too easy to influence, we need to remedy this.'
