Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12: A TRAGIC SYMPHONY OF LIFE'S FINAL CRESENDO

Finally, she arrived at the compound, where she discovered her sister sprawled upon a jagged, golden rock. "No! Sister, sister, why?" Mellisah wailed, cradling her sister's lifeless form in her trembling hands. Uncontrollable tears streamed down her face as she struggled to comprehend the unimaginable sight before her. Desperate to revive her sister, she shook her body with all her might, but it was futile. Her sister had perished during Mellisah's battle against the three formidable creatures. Reluctantly, she released her grip on her sister's lifeless body and embarked on a mission to hunt down the remaining creatures. She understood that unless she vanquished them, she would forever be trapped in this foreign realm, unable to return to Earth. With every ounce of strength, she raced against time, managing to capture all of them before they could flee to the neighboring planet, Saturn. She obliterated them, reducing them to mere ashes, which she defiled with her saliva, knowing that their souls had long departed.

Returning to where her sister's body lay, she gazed upon it, tears cascading down her cheeks. There was nothing she could do; her sister had succumbed to the same fate as their father, and memories of his demise flooded her mind. The realization struck her that both her sister and father had met their end in the same tragic manner, leaving her bewildered as to why such a cruel destiny had befallen them. With a heavy heart, she rose to her feet, bidding her sister a final farewell, and made her way back to Earth. Before departing, she delicately inserted her left hand into Mellisando's rib cage, extracting her sister's heart. Within its chambers lay remnants of the stars they had once shared, a poignant reminder of their bond. Clutching them tightly, she embarked on her journey back to planet Earth, carrying their celestial connection with her.The stars, feeble and impotent, were no match for Mellisah's extraordinary celestial power bestowed upon her at birth. As she descended upon Earth, a tempest of turmoil trailed in her wake, her mother's wrath wreaking havoc throughout their abode. Determined to quell the storm within her mother's heart, Mellisah delicately placed a solitary star, pulsating with ethereal energy, within its chambers. Gradually, her mother's tumultuous outbursts subsided, replaced by a newfound serenity.

Yet, Mellisah was acutely aware of the peril she had unleashed upon her mother. The inhabitants of Pluto, bound by ancient tradition, decreed death upon those who bore the stars of their revered king and his prodigious offspring, the son of commandment. Undeterred by the looming danger, Mellisah ventured into her children's slumbering sanctuary, rousing them from their dreams. With urgency in her voice, she imparted upon them the necessity of harnessing their inherent power, just as she had done. "Why must we be as mighty as you, Mother?" they inquired, their innocent eyes searching for answers.

"Because, my darlings, a war lies before us, a battle to be fought and won by those who yearn to thrive," Mellisah replied, her voice tinged with determination. "To emerge as the victors, you must possess the strength that courses through my veins. Fortunately, you are blessed with the same genetic makeup, inheriting my potent lineage. However, to truly flourish in the impending conflict, you must embrace three vital pillars: passion, practice, and exposure."Rest assured, with these tools at your disposal, you shall elude peril in the midst of battle and endure for a longer span." As dusk settled, the children commenced their preparations, for their mother had forewarned them of the impending war. They meticulously devised a plan, outlining the necessities required to safeguard their lives during this tumultuous occasion. The anticipation grew within them, like a flame flickering on the 19th day of their training.

Lo and behold, on the 21st day, at the stroke of midnight, a resounding cacophony erupted from the very fabric of the Earth's atmosphere. Mellisah, engrossed in her thoughts, meticulously crafting strategies to employ during the impending war, was abruptly interrupted by the clamor. Hastily, she rushed to her children, imparting upon them the crucial steps to discern the imminent events. As the clock struck half-past midnight, they departed from their home planet, venturing towards the epicenter of the clamor. Upon arrival, they were greeted by a tranquil mid-morning, embraced by gentle temperatures and chilly breezes. Diverse groups from distant planets had congregated for the battle. Mellisah meticulously surveyed each faction, scrutinizing their every detail.

However, a lingering fear gripped Mellisah's heart, as she realized they had neglected to inform their mother of their participation in the war. Dread consumed her, for she feared her mother's celestial powers, bestowed upon her by the star embedded within her very core, would lead her to their whereabouts, resulting in a perilous encounter and her untimely demise. "Oh divine father, what course of action shall I undertake?" she cried out, her voice echoing through the vast expanse. The creatures, oblivious to the meaning of her words, clashed in a chaotic symphony of violence, believing Mellisah to be the orchestrator of this brutal war. For what seemed like an eternity, they battled fiercely, their primal instincts consuming them.

Meanwhile, on the blue planet known as Earth, Beauty, Mellisah's mother, stirred from her slumber, perplexed by the eerie silence that enveloped her abode. "Ah, perhaps my beloved kin have sought solace in the garden," she mused, her heart yearning for their presence amidst nature's embrace. Rejecting the confines of indoor monotony, she ventured forth, her thoughts brimming with pride for her exceptional offspring.

Alas, as she traversed the garden's expanse, an unsettling emptiness greeted her, devoid of her children's laughter and the harmonious melodies of the avian troubadour. Returning to the sanctuary of her dwelling, a flicker of hope ignited within her, whispering that Mellisah had embarked on a visit to her mysterious husband. The enigma of his existence tantalized Beauty, longing for the day she would finally lay eyes upon him. Yet, a fleeting doubt extinguished this flame, urging her to abandon such musings.

Lost in her thoughts, she wandered aimlessly through the yard, her heart heavy with worry. Suddenly, a deafening roar erupted from the heavens, accompanied by blinding flashes of light and a cacophony of thunderous booms. Fear gripping her every fiber, she sprinted back to the safety of her dwelling, seeking refuge from the tempest that raged outside. In a moment of exasperation, she exclaimed, "Oh my goodness gracious! What on earth was that? The impending rain threatens to pour, yet I have not yet discovered the whereabouts of my precious children. And why, I ponder, would the heavens weep so prematurely? Nevertheless, I shall not allow worry to consume me, for I have faith that Mellisah, dear Mellisah, is diligently tending to them wherever they may be." With a heavy heart, she sank into the plush embrace of the sofa, desperately yearning for the sound of a knock upon her front door. Alas, only silence enveloped her yard, shrouding her in its melancholy embrace. Determined to relinquish her anxieties, she clung steadfastly to the belief that her beloved offspring would soon return home, unscathed and secure.
