The whole space was filled with trees and plants. This space is called the Garden of Wisdom. In the center of it sat a person.
"Another failure." I swept my sweat on my forehead.
I have been researching on Devil Fruit for a long time. This world, One Piece, had a realm called Spirit realm.
I had explored and tried to understand it.
Not like Dr. Vegapunk, I could see what happened in the realm of spirit and belief.
I knew a secret that Devil Fruit contained an entity of a certain aspect with a certain belief.
"Those 2 entities are ferocious." I drank a cup of tea to refresh my mind.
I was exploring the truth of why a person who eats 2 Devil Fruits will be dead. To find the answer, I tried to fuse 2 Devil Fruits into 1 new Devil Fruit. Those 2 entities fought each other giving birth to a strong energy reaction.
Their fight stopped when those entities were obliterated.
No matter how I tried, it ended up as a failure.
"I guess this is the end of the day." I stopped the research and stepped out of the chamber for fresh air.
For me, I had been working for 10 years.
However, for people in this world, It was just 10 days passed.
I made my way to the control room. I could see Yamato both playing phone and driving the submarine.
"So. How is he? Did he find a Dark-Dark Fruit?"
"Uhm. According to Whitebeard crew's gossip, I think their 4th captain found it." Yamato answered while maintaining a safe distance so that the submarine couldn't be detected by Observation Haki.
I played the record to verify.
"I see. Yamato. We will attack tonight."
"Tonight. One of Yonkos, Whitebeard." Yamato exclaimed in shock.
"Of course, we won't. We just chase after a guy named Teach. He may know something about Devil Fruit." I said.
Blackbeard is a very mysterious person in One Piece world. He knows almost everything about Devil Fruit. I didn't know why he knew about Devil Fruit so much that made me doubt his identity.
Sometimes, I thought Blackbeard was a reincarnation of someone in the old age. The age of the beginning of the Devil Fruit.
Or else, how can he know so much? There were too many Devil Fruits so how can he know which one is the strongest or the most versatile?
He knew too much beyond the normal standard.
I approached the box and took out a Memory Gun. This gun was traded at Gravity Falls. It's time to put it in use.
I pressed the button on it.
[Devil Fruit] The screen showed what I entered.
I am going to extract his memory. The answer in his head may be providing a guide.
"Yamato. Just a piece of advice. Teach is not a normal person. His strength should be around Yonko so be careful." I said to Yamato. What I said wasn't wrong. It was Blackbeard or Teach who caused 3 scratches on Shanks' left eye.

"I take your advice into my mind," Yamato replied with a smile.
However, her smile didn't put me at ease. I had to prepare a backup plan in case she was defeated by Teach.
Now, the only thing that I had to do was wait for a night.
The sunset and the night fell.
Teach asked Thatch to come to the deck of the ship with Devil Fruit alone.
Thatch did come to the deck as promised. On his hand held a Devil Fruit named Dark-Dark Fruit.
Teach initiated a friendly conversation with Thatch. As a family of Whitebeard pirates, Thatch didn't suspect Teach's motive so he answered Teach's question.
Seeing his prey fall into his trap, Teach told Thatch to turn around. And Thatch did like Teach said.
He turned around.
Teach saw an unguarded back. He drew a knife and stabbed through Thatch's heart.
Things escalated too fast. Thatch couldn't react or shout at all. The Devil Fruit fell from his hands.
Teach picked it up and revealed a big smile on his face.
"Thank you for your Devil Fruit. Dumb-ass." Teach jumped into a canoe that he prepared before to escape.
He escaped with Devil Fruit in his hands.
"That guy does it." Yamato saw Teach's action with her own eyes. She drove the submarine after him.
"Very good." I controlled a torpedo launcher aiming at Teach.
Teach did feel something was wrong and took a glance at his back. He didn't see anything behind him but he felt something bad was coming.
"Launch." A submarine launched a torpedo. I wanted to sink Blackbeard first since it was his disadvantage.
With sharp intuition, Teach changed the direction. The sea below him glowed red. A loud sound exploded near him making him freak out.
He knew someone was after his Devil Fruit. He immediately drove more quickly to an island that he planned to escape.
"Lucky bastard. Try to dodge this one." I launched an intelligent torpedo.
The torpedo approached Teach's wooden canoe at sound speed.
Teach couldn't see anything clearly in the dark of the sea rendering him have to use a sharp intuition to dodge attack.
Not like before, no matter which direction he changed. His intuition told him the danger didn't pass.
A loud explosion under his ship blew him up to the sky. His Ship was crushed into many pieces of wood.
He used the aftermath of the explosion to hide himself.
I looked at the radar and didn't find Teach's existence.
"That's too strange." This submarine was equipped with the most advanced radar. How can I not find Teach on it?
I used the system to check the status of the ship and found Radar system met a small bug.
"Damn it. I will file a complaint to them."
While the submarine tried to search for Teach, Teach had already stepped on the nameless island.
"Who dares to hunt me? I will make them pay 10 times what I have endured." Teach looked at Dark-Dark Fruit on his hand. He ate quickly so that he obtained the ability to fight back.
"Hahaha. With this, I am invincible." Teach laughed out loud reverberating through the sky.
At the same time, the submarine floated to the surface. The light converged on Teach who was standing on the coastline.
"There he is," I shouted.
"Yeah. I can see it"
Yamato jumped off the submarine and approached Teach with a pair of swords.
"I have heard your strength and cunning trick from my friend. Don't pretend playing ignorant with me."
"So you are the one who wants to hunt me down." Teach glared at Yamato and me.
"Yes, we are," I replied loud and clear.
"Good. Very good. You will be the first person to taste my strength after eating Devil Fruit" Teach said arrogantly.
"I expect that. All your, Yamato"
"You can count on me."
Teach was laughing arrogantly until he saw Yamato's face.
"How can it be?" Teach's shock could be seen on his face.
He was shocked since he knew Yamato's identity and strength.
"So what? I will defeat you easily." Teach's hand appeared a black hole trying to suck everything in its range.
Yamato halted her step to observe her opponent.
"What's wrong? Scare. Haha."
A loud sound exploded. A strong wind passed by him. The wind carried tiny sand forcing him to raise his hands to protect his eyes.
"2 swords style. Crescent moon." Yamato sheathed her swords.
His body gushed out blood. The pain was double making him roll on the sand while screaming.
"Ah. It's hurt. It's so hurt."
He stopped rolling on the ground and stood up confronting Yamato.
"You little bitch." Teach sucked everything in his range.
The coast lost sands leaving behind a layer of stone.
In the sky, a dark hole appeared. A lot of sand poured out. He tried to drown Yamato with sand.
"Not a creative way of fighting" I commented.
Sometimes, I wondered why Ace lost Teach.
Is Ace weak? No no no. He was on peer with Yamato when he visited Wano. On bonus of that, he knew how to use Conqueror Haki.
However.
After he joined Whitebeard pirate, his strength seemed to be weakened greatly.
His growth was stopped.
"Maybe Whitebeard Pirate wasn't a good place for Ace."
"Kame hame" Yamato gathered energy in her hands. "Ha"
A ball of Ki shot at Teach. Teach tried to suck it into his black hole.
Seeing the attack was suck, his confidence resurfaced on his face.
Yamato didn't let her guard down. She touched her forehead. In a blink of an eye, she teleported behind Teach.
She swung her sword while Teach was bewildered.
Those 2 techniques. He never saw it before.
Another wound was added to Teach's body.
"You you."
This time, Teach went seriously. Both of his arms turned black. He engaged in close combat with Yamato.
He was too angry that he forgot he could use Devil Fruit.
His punch tore through the air aiming at Yamato.
His style of fighting is like a mad dog.
Yamato's heart was pounding with excitement. She never felt thrilled like today.
While fighting, she could feel something lurking inside Teach's body.
She could feel its evil.
"Suck this." Teach sucked Yamato with the black hole. His right elbow raised ready to give a clean hit at Yamato's vital points.
Yamato smiled and teleported behind Teach. Two big eyes looked at each other.
"I know you are hiding something. Come on. Let me see it." Yamato begged Teach to show her what he was hiding.
He turned and swung his hands. Yamato saw this future so she dodged in advance.
A light beam shot through Teach's body. His mouth opened widely vomiting blood.
Although he already passed out, Yamato still felt something dangerous coming from him.
Her intuitive sense told her something bad happen if she came closer.
A gunshot rang out.
Teach knelt on his legs. His strength disappeared at a fast pace.
"Why do you do that, Furina. I am having fun with him."
"Sorry. I don't want to see you hurt so I shoot at him." I answered while looking at Teach. I could feel something dangerous from him.
Whenever I looked at him, it reminded me Diavolo in Jojo.
His pupil returned looking at me.
Teach tried to endure the pain. He gritted his teeth and glared at me.
"Sea stone bullet. The counter of Devil Fruit eater." I explained while aiming the muzzle at his head.
Another shot was aimed at his hands.
Teach fell to the ground with an angry gaze.
"Fast fight fast win." I pointed a memory gun at Teach. A weird light shot at his brain.
Teach's eyes opened widely. After the light disappeared, he returned to his old state.
He started cursing both me and Yamato.
"It's yours. Yamato."
"But didn't he."
"It's fine. This sea stone bullet will be automatically smelt in his skin. You can continue your fight." I said and left both of them behind.
"That is what I want to hear"
I was sure that Yamato would win. But to ensure that my trip was not wasteful, I extracted his memory first in case he somehow escaped.
I took out a scroll containing Teach's memory about Devil Fruit and moved to the submarine to insert the scroll into a machine for reading.
While walking, my phone rang. I picked it up and read the message.
[Cameraman: Trouble news. Your spear has gone wild.]
"I see. He was swallowed by a wrath. I see this coming long ago."
I let out a deep sigh.
"Now. How many people will die in his wrath this time?"
