Chereads / Me and God of Wibu / Chapter 39 - A surprise clue

Chapter 39 - A surprise clue

The submarine docked at a port for the merchant ships.

Upon spotting a strange ship, a team of guards arrived to capture and ask the unknown visitor.

Yamato jumped out of the ship and looked at the incoming guards.

"This will be easy like eating a piece of cake." Yamato stared at Crocodile who looked at her from the big castle.

"Wait a minute. Let's me warm up first." I stepped on the port while stretching my arms and legs.

I waved my hands and the group of guards collapsed on the ground. Water in their body left them making them look like a mummy.

People who witnessed the situation couldn't help but be shocked to their souls.

"Wooh. I go a little too far." I opened a bottle of water and poured it into their mouth. After confirming their health, I left for a greater plan.

I took out an umbrella and made my way towards the castle where the king stayed and worked.

"The storm is coming. And people will love this." I surveyed around before nodding at Yamato.

"Do you still remember how our plan will proceed?"

"I attack their front line and you will block their escape route."

"Uhm. You must do this as fast as possible." I added, "Since I don't want to involve many people in our mess."

Using vision, a current of water soared to the ground from the sea. A small pond started to form into many creatures.

Pigs, birds, crabs, and octopuses, … were absorbing sea water to complete their form.

They became bigger and bigger since their body was 100% made of water.

"Go and play to your heart's content. My citizens." I pointed at the castle.

My summoned pet obeyed my order and cheerfully approached the castle. From afar, dark clouds were coming.

Citizens were all paying attention to the incoming storm.

Crocodile looked at the strange weather. He furrowed his brows. He is a sand man so naturally, he doesn't like rain too much. Water made his ability weakened several.

Behind him, Nico Robin was also looking at the strange weather.

According to her understanding, natural rain in the Alabasta kingdom was very rare. Super rare that she had never seen one before.

Mostly, they used special powder to attract rain from neighboring countries. However, this method will push the country into a war.

"This is as if fate" Nico Robin blurted out.

"This is more interesting than I thought," Crocodile said while holding a cigar in his mouth.

He was a man who never believed in fate. Seeing so many strange things happening at the same time, he still believed this was merely a coincidence.

Or rather he believed Pluton was very near in his palms. He assumed Yamato coming to this country was Pluton.

His informants provided him with some information about Yamato. Observing Yamato's pattern of action, he guessed Yamato was after ancient weapons.

His lips curled up into a smile.

Hearing his subordinates report uninvited guests, he knew a battle was inevitable.

Normally, he could fight Yamato, the famous young pirate at the moment. However, the big issue was the weather. It looked like it was going to rain at any moment.

He could run but his year efforts would be poured into the sewer. His utopia had to wait for another year.

He first planned to use royal guards and citizens to exhaust Yamato and her friends. After that, the Marines will come and help him a little bit.

1 arrow kills 3 birds.

However.

The weather shifted the situation. Also.

For some reason.

He didn't see any Marines.

That meant the entire situation fell on his shoulders.

He raised the bounty paper to his eye level. His subordinates arrived at the perfect moment.

"They are our enemy tonight. Go and take care of them." Crocodile slammed 2 bounty papers on the wall.

"Yamato with 500 000 000 Beri and Furina with 1 000 000 Beri."

A full HD picture of Yamato was shown and …

"Yes, sir. Boss. But that person. What does she look like?" Babe, code name Mr. 4, pointed at the picture only showing part of her clothes instead of her face.

"Just a small fly. You can ignore her." Crocodile burned Furina wanted paper to ash and proceeded to give order.

"I want you to attack mainly this person." Crocodile hook stabbed Yamato wanted paper. "Yamato. The famous pirate recently."

"500 000 000 Beri. Boss. That is too much for us." Drophy, code name Miss Merry Christmas, retorted.

"Calm down. I know hundreds of you couldn't take down Yamato" Crocodile threw his cigar and became serious.

"So I will also join."

"Hey. Our boss will join." Mr. 2 span around with 1 leg.

"Of course, you guys and me are not enough. Royal Army will also join with us. By the way, we have some unstable guys that needed to be eliminated."

"Yes, sir. Boss. What order will you give today?"

"Gather the whole army and attack the dangerous pirate. In King's name."

"I will go now." Mr. 2 turned into King of Alabasta and moved to the throne seat.

"You should be ready. Our fish is very big this time." Crocodile reminded them.

Although the rest of them didn't speak anything, they couldn't hide their anxiety.

They had heard rumors about Yamato.

It was said that Yamato was fighting Naval Hero, Garp, and Mad Dog, Akainu at the same time and she escaped without any scratch.

Crocodile knew their anxiety but he didn't scold them for that. Even he hesitated about facing Yamato by himself.

In his eyes, Akainu wasn't a big problem. However, Garp was another matter. The naval hero wasn't just an honorable title.

The dark clouds covered the entire sky in Alabasta's kingdom. A drop of water started to fall.

The first drop fell right into the mouth of a random kid on the street.

Citizen below raised their buckets, bowls, or things that can contain water. They harvested the water from the sky. Like a blessing.

The sky was forming a big rain. It was so big that all sounds were suppressed.

The citizens were dancing and drinking free water from the sky. They were bathed in fresh water.

Royal guards were nervous since they knew a dangerous pirate who was currently lurking around in this country. Their king had given an order and they must obey it.

Their hands held tight weapons. A mist started to blur their sight.

The rustling cold wind brushed past their face.

They couldn't see clearly with their eyes. The rain created a mist curtain blocking sights and sounds.

"Here she comes," Crocodile said to Nico Robin.

Inside the curtain of rain, members of the royal army went missing one by one.

"Enemy attack." a guard shouted out but his voice couldn't be heard.

A tentacle grabbed and dragged them to the depth of the mist.

One by one.

They went missing.

Without any sound or alert.

Realizing something wrong, they pointed weapons forward.

Yamato appeared and gave them one hit by chopping their neck.

Fast and precise.

They went unconscious and collapsed to the ground.

From the mist, a water bubble caught them and dragged them into the mist.

The rest of the guards were bewildered. They shot aimlessly at the mist. They knew something was lurking in it.

Suddenly, something hit their hands making their crossbows fall from their hands.

Pell the Falcon could see the whole situation with his Falcon's eyes.

He had been observing them on the top of the building. The enemy used rain and mist to hide themselves. For the guards, it was a hard fight since they were fighting in a strange environment.

Even though he was one of the two head guards in the Alabasta Kingdom, it wouldn't be wise for him to fight them in that bad environment.

He would welcome inside the castle.

The guards outside and on the wall were handled very well making the operation go smoothly.

"As I expected, we can't count on them to fight the enemy," Zala said with a hint of frustration.

She wanted the guards to help her eliminate Yamato so she didn't have to fight.

"Our boss ordered us to observe and report. It seems like the royal guard couldn't inflict any wound" Babe dialed Den Den Mushi on his hands.

"Damn it. Useless."

"Alright. Let report to our boss and he will know how to handle this." Babe was still optimistic. He believed his boss had a good resolution.

Even though he had some doubts in his heart. Babe judged his boss's strength and Yamato based on bounty so he unconsciously thought Boss was the weaker one.

The entrance was sliced revealing Yamato was standing there with an umbrella.

"Greeting. The weather is cold, right."

Yamato stepped into the castle and she was greeted by Royal Armies.

Half of them aimed their crossbows at her. The others were protecting the stairs cutting the only path to the upper floor.

"Be ease. I come here in peace to discuss with your king. So don't make things complicated"

*Thud*

Yamato blocked a big claw.

"I am one of the 2 head guards in Alabasta Kingdom, Pell the Falcon. If you want to settle this in peace then you should be surrendered yourself."

"Sorry. My samurai spirit doesn't allow me to do so."

Yamato hit Pell with the blunt side of the sword.

"I like your warrior spirit. Let's have a competition."

The fight between them was unfolded in the hall of the Palace.

Crocodile observed the fight through a special snail that can transmit images every mili-second.

"He will lose" Crocodile ignited another cigar to refresh his mind.

He needed his cold head back to analyze Yamato's weakness. He looked at the special poisonous bottle on the table. He didn't want to use it at all since it was very expensive.

"I don't have so much choice."

While Yamato was attacking the palace, Furina got lost.

"This dungeon is like a big maze" I mumbled.

I knew Crocodile was an ego man and he wouldn't leave this country until he achieved what he wanted.

He would fight Yamato to protect his reputation and prestige.

So I went to the dungeon through a secret path and waited for him at the place where the Poneglyphs was. I would look so cool and mysterious in Crocodile and Nico Robin's eyes.

After he discovered me, I would strike up a friendly conversation.

"I see. Pluton. I know where this thing is now. No wonder you are obsessed with this stone."

And then, I will destroy Poneglyphs and disappear.

His goal was destroyed in one moment. I wondered what kind of face he would make.

However.

I got lost.

I pressed the suspicious button on the floor hoping this button would lead me to the secret room.

After pressing, a big boulder appeared and rolled towards me.

"I expect this will happen."

Usually, I didn't have a knack for pressing the unknown button.

However, this button had one detail that attracted me. It was written in Latin and Latin shouldn't exist in the One Piece world.

My curiosity won my reason.

The only prime suspect that I thought was a transmigrator.

Transmigrator wasn't rare from my point of view.

Even in Conan world, I spotted one transmigrator. Since I and he didn't have any conflict, I just ignored him and continued my life.

According to my phone's translation, the Latin words on the button were 'Press me and you will see a surprise'.

And I pressed.

This led me to the current dilemma situation.

"What a surprise gift?" I ran while complaining.
